Well let us know how you get on with Orange, as I have every confidence they are working within the T&Cs, it seems odd that the thread has been going for so long and as yet nobody has instructed their lawyer to take action0 -
i will do but i will ring in the week & get back on here asap.0

Wow oh wow.
How petty some of you are.
I find it funny that some people are claiming they will not stay with orange at the end of their contract even they are offered the cheapest deal by orange. Talking about cutting off your noise to spite your face. The reasons for this is because of the "underhand" way orange have increased their prices.
They gave you a month notice and explained cleary why its happening.
You have the option to save money by calling them up. More money than the price increase.
But some people claim its the principe. Do you think that orange is the only company that has increased lately? Our will on the future?
For those of you trying to use this as am excuse to cancel your contract because of some other issue with orange then go for it. Not convinced its going to work but hey up to you.0 -
I wonder how many orange staff members have joined MSE in the past few days ?
Seems to be a few people in this thread with only a couple of posts to their name who are generally belittling people who feel aggrieved by this price rise.0 -

Well I can tell you I don't work for Orange and dismissed their services years ago, it does not mean though that I support the whinging, it is all a fruitless exercise.0 -

there may well be a lot of whingeging , however when people look to the internet in years to come for the latest deal and wonder why people has such bad feelings towards orange, this will hopefully pop up , and the customer will go elsewhere.
even if nothing happens towards this unfair pratice it will still be there on the internet , biting away at orange's market share .0 -
Its not about a few quid. Its about not being prepared to be bullied & integrity of the contract0

The losers are the ones that are ranting and raving about a less than inflationary proce increase, I wonder how many were in favour of the public sector workers and their industrial action ? After all they pay more work longer and get less, where as with the orange deal, you pay more and get the same.
I don't think it makes anyone a loser to stand up for something many think is unfair. Whether we "lose" or not, it is courageous to stand up for something even when knowing we might not win. In my eyes we are all winners as we will come out of this either "winning" or knowing that we've done our best to right something we think is wrong.
Also, I fully supported the strikes. I think it's outrageous what the government is trying to do to public sector workers. They signed up in good faith, averaging relatively low pay, thinking they'd be in a secure job where they would be looked after at pension age. Instead, their jobs are not secure, they are still on low pay and many of their pay has gone down effectively due to inflation, and the pension is becoming worse. Working more years, contributing more, and having less of a pension, is awful. The average pension is a couple of thousand a year more for the public sector, but the private sector have the benefit of higher pay. All that said, I think standards should be improved for everyone, rather than a race to the bottom. And yes, that would be possible, if the government was run better, and put in better procedures to actually collect tax efficiently, and reduce fraud.
But that is besides the point...0 -

Not sure who would be daft enough to spend money instructing a lawyer before following the correct procedures first e.g. complaint/request for termination, OfCom, etc., etc.
Strange thoughts, strange suggestions...0
