Flattened bunny? No thanks... bunnies that stray down onto the road surface are quite likely sick to start with.
But (fresh) pheasant that's attacked a 4x4 head on? It'd be a terrible waste not to...

PS - BitterAndTwisted - you can't eat one you've hit yourself, for the interesting reason that you didn't have a license to kill it. You can only eat one that someone else has hit...

  • I watched this on 4od just after Christmas. I found it interesting.
Just this weekend I'd thought I would try out what the coupon lady does with Sainsbees coupons and use them in Te$cos to bring down the cost.
...But I tried and my local (the Huddersfield one) said they haven't accepted them for a long while now.

    Has anyone else found this?
  • i managed to use 4 coupons in tesco on sunday as well as the £5 off voucher i had from my £40 shop last time.

A lot of coupon policies have changed recently, and none of them for the better as far as the consumer is concerned, sadly There was also a big debate (that I'm NOT getting into) as to whether the vouchers used were all within the T&Cs. I would have thought a shop of the kind shown on the programme would be near-enough impossible now.
  • Thanks this is a great programme so far :D

I think the coupons are excellent! I have a sainsbury shop due with £10 voucher and £25 in savings/offers. No coupons though. Best I have done in coupons is £15 off which was still good i thought.

Wish I could do a ton of vouchers, would be interesting to read the previous thread and see what other people thought. Lets see if I can get the search function to work *not holding out much hope* ;)

didn't know about this, will watch it later.
I've been saving a lot of money with advice from various mse threads.
had a go at couponing, but I failed miserably.
I found it very time consuming, following various links, completing surveys, following people on fb, then some coupons don't work, or they are not what they seem (e.g. valid for a specific variation of that item, that I don't use).
Printing is expensive, one a4 each coupon, needs good quality or it won't scan, and colour or it will look like a photocopy.

Then I went to the usual supermarket, S's, and some of the stuff that I found on mysupermarket was not in stock, some there was a cheaper option without vouchers (colgate toothpaste).
The voucher I've seen are mainly for expensive, premium brands and new products.

The ones I managed to use were for sausage rolls and samples of Yorkshire Tea. Will use philadelphia and some toilet paper.

But some people seem to be doing well out of it, so it's probably me not doing it right.

    Hi :)

this looks like a repeat of the program, and we had quite a thread on it at the time - so I'll merge the threads together.

thanks squaky, hadn't realised it's the same I've already watched.
Please let's not be rude to Jwen, she has more or less disappeared since, I'm not surprised, but she could have so much to contribute to MSE, particularly the many people into couponing (who are probably more clever than I am at making it work...).

Let's not forget that these programmes are staged, so if we were filmed and bits edited selectively we could all be made to look clever/nasty/stoopid/boring/stingy etc...
