Blimey GQ, we've got one of those too! Our food waste is collected weekly in our little green daleks, and there are usually only two out, one mine. Well Monday (collection day) there were three. After they were emptied I checked the third one and it was gross - full of rotting food in a pool of stinking liquid - the bin men had not emptied it (poor sensitive flowers :D) so it's sitting out there festering. No idea who's it is  At least they don't leak...

Oh meant to say if anyone uses finish tabs in dishwasher MR S are doing the 39 tab box buy one get one free - its the ones that is a limited edition to celebrate queens jubilee - they just cannot get rid of the things. The annoying thing is we just bought a box yesterday not on the deal as we did not have one tablet left, but cheapest they had, but did get two today for store cupboard so will not be caught out again ( I knew I had none in it but kept forgetting to pick up some) as usually I do manage to get either elsewhere cheaper on there but on offer but realising not a dishwasher tablet in the house at 9.50pm and a hubby who refuses point blank to go near asda which is 24hr but will take a mad dash up to Mr S which closes at 10pm didn't have much choice...

Smiley, as an expert on depression :o, the cutting back on your meds is not a good thing right now. I know in 2010 I decided to cut right back, I did it properly with the Dr's approval, and tried to weather the withdrawal symptoms which I did, but I couldn't stop crying...someone only had to be nice to me and I burst into tears (not like me, I don't cry easily, normally)....I also became very upset about the state of the world, but not in a proactive way, a watery mess way...it took a lot to make me admit I needed to keep on with the anti-d's. They keep me on an even keel, and I still have emotions, just not chronic crying for any and every reason. :(

You of course do deserve sympathy.:A I would have been upset too about the bin bag it's a horrible thing for someone to do. Awful suggestion maybe, but was there any paperwork in there whereby you could trace the person. It was probably someone who had missed bin day, and just thought they would fling it over someone's gate, I don't think it was personal either. When depressed it's easy to feel that it is for a moment.

As for the lottie, is it too much for you, but you don't want to admit defeat? I hope you aren't offended by that, it's just I don't give in or up easily and sometimes these things in life have to be put to one side. Can anyone help you get it tidied and in shape? If not, is it worth the worry?

Take care, sweetie, this too will pass. :A

Talking of bins,:eek: I always clean my compost bins, even though I use bags, and the big blue one was beautifully cleaned once with bleach and suds, put out thinking how pleased I was. After the recycling team left, I went out get it...instead of my beautiful clean one was a manky, disgusting, food stuck to sides blue bin!! Whoever used it didn't even use bags or newspaper and it looked like it had never been cleaned since first given out. I did a search for mine, but couldn't find it, but most bins had been taken in anyway. I always wondered what the person thought when they saw my bin, nice and clean...I had my suspects and really wanted to march into their house and say, hand over the bin NOW!! :rotfl::o:eek::mad:

and then I had to clean someone else's carp...

I go to bed and all the drama kicks off on the thread. I can't leave you lot alone for 5 minutes!

*hugs* Smiley, I think I would have had a bit of a cry at that too, so you do deserve a hug.

And GQ, did your parents take holiday tips from my parents? They were in Marmaris for the large earthquake, in Greece for a flood and somewhere down south during gale force winds. Oh and they got mugged one holiday too. I used to wonder why on earth they went away. I understand your upset and agree they'll be fine and oblivious to it!

The weather continues to amaze with its coldness here, so much so it's the first year we've had the air-con on heat a couple of times a day at least. Dread to think what that will cost, but there's only so much rugging up you can do indoors and still manage to move. We can't draughtproof the place either for various reasons (it was designed for summer heat and we suffer greatly from mould thanks to humidity), so it's not at all economical.

Lucky you having them, mind you not much in way of food waste here with my 3 living vacumn cleaners, but would be nice for the odd thing but our darling city is the worst place for recycling in England and maybe in the UK some report said today I think. Of course council full of all sorts of excuses as to why - they say about 88% of rubbish goes to landfill which really makes me angry, as we do have recycling bins but only for paper, cardboard, glass and cans nothing else can go in them. To go to dump you have to apply for a permit you cannot just turn up. Garden recycling can only have hedge trimmings and grass cuttings nothing else and you see them check each bin before they put it on the lorry.....yet on the breakdown for CT they have this huge amount that goes towards cleansing dept but they don't even pay street cleaners these days they are all people given community service by a court......

Oh for some reason WTC sent me an application form, no letter with it, just the form to apply - yet have had letters telling me not entitled this year so they have closed my claim......and nothing about the overpayment, so might ring them if mentally feel up to it tomorrow...........

Byatt how are you feeling, are the meds helping - oh and memory when I was diagnosed with Fibro my GP had sent me to the specialist with suspected dementia as my memory was so bad, its just part of the condition you get flares not just of body but mind - still get them days when I actually do forget my name and look at things and all I have is a hole in my head where the name of item should be, each time it hits I am scared stiff it will not go away but it does, but like rest of body after a flare each time memory is left a little bit worse than before, so try not to worry to much - taking hubby for same thing on Monday is he is getting panicky over his memory and his mum, aunts, grandparents all had Alzheimer's he has almost convinced himself he has it but they all had it over 70 so can only hope he is wrong - I think maybe depression, he has had it in the past and he doesn't get it in the life not worth living way more bad memory, excessive tiredness so will have a chat with doctor.

Right bed calls - stay safe everyone especially those in the path of the heavy rain that is forecast and GQ hope you have heard from your parents by now

Hugs, Love and Healing to all xxxxxxxx

A friend of mine has fibro PAH and apparently you get 'fibrofog' when you brain goes muddy for a bit. My friend lived in South Africa for years and when she gets the fog she wanders off into afrikans then back into English, but Im used to it now :D

Smileyt maybe cutting your meds when you are under stress is bad timing hunny. maybe some passing idiot chucked the bin bag over or thought you were someone they were annoyed at. Your lottie is bound to be overgrown with this flipping weather, my back garden looks like the bl**dy rainforest.

GQ I detest those little green daleks, neither use nor flaming ornament, so we asked for a green wheelybin and its great, I have 2 compost bins but they cannot cope with all my garden waste so its great having kermit the bin.

Im off for an early night, hope everything is better for all my dear buddys in the light of day hugs Ginny

:)Softstuff, please be sure to post your parents' holdiay dates and destinations so that we can be sure that we are nowhere in the vicinity.:)

The parental units worry me sometimes. Two years ago they were subject to a distraction-bag snatch in one of Europe's capitols and lost the bag containing the digital camera, a book and a few other bits and bobs. Another time in the same city, Mum had the backpack unzipped as she walked and her passport lifted out. It was in a leather cover and we think that the thief mistook it for a wallet. It was dropped on the pavement and a kind stranger hurried after them with it.

I was horrified that they'd had the passports in the backpack like that. So lucky to get Mum's back again. Made her promise not to do that again.

They were in Paris in a park once and this creepy guy was invading their personal space so Mum casually took an orange from her bag and a rather pointy little knife from her pocket to peel it and the guy suddenly decided to go elsewhere tout de suite.:D

I've done a lot of travelling and am ultra-paranoid about my valuables. The only thing I had stolen was during a 6 week backpacking trip. They took my teabags from my box in the communal kitchen at YHA Taupo in New Zealand. And if I ever get my hands on the thieving little scuzz...........

I mean, I'm a Brit, I have to have tea. It's the staff of life. Well, that and chocolate...............:rotfl:

We're mostly safe now, since my Dad's too sick to fly and they don't get away much otherwise. I'll be sure to let everyone know if they book a coach trip ;).

The muggers that got my parents ran away with a rose that they'd gotten in a bar, they thought it was the strap of my mums handbag. They left both of them bruised and shaken though. Mine tended to be pretty careful and always had a safe at the apartments for passports and whatnot. Definitely a worthwhile holiday extra.

Parents are a worry. I sometimes wonder if worrying about them now is the revenge for how much they must have worried about us when we were younger. Not that we were up to anything naughty.... Ahem :o
