I hope you all hold out ok up north. We've had strong winds here over the last 2 days, strong enough to tip over my swing bench which is very heavy, so I dread to think what it'll be like for you all up there.

Congrats 7WW. I echo what others have said.

Had the facial :D It made light work of the mascara! Never has anything worked so well! Also you can't help but massage your while you do it. My face was flushed but healthy looking and smooth feeling. I'm sat here with more evoo on my face, just as a treat. Will wash it off after Kirsty's homemade programme. All in all the best cleanser, toner, moisturiser I have used and for a fraction of the cost.

It's made me want to learn about how other homemade, pure and natural products can be used for cheapness and quality.
  • Aw thank you all - what a lovely lot you are, you had me snuffling all over again, but in a good way. I now have a PhD in a very obscure bit of science so I'm one of those annoying folks who can call themselves Doctor but are completely useless in a crisis! And I know dad would be/is proud!

I'm sitting here with sunflower oil on my face just trying to decide whether to have a glass of red wine or a hot chocolate with a dash of brandy, decisions decisions.

And Mardatha, given the wind direction I figure if you have to evacuate you'll be blown directly towards me: so I'll open the front door and grab you on the way past!

Mrs Chips: Jelly babies and fishermen's friends - that's not natural!

Here's hoping they've over-forecast the next 24 hours. We shall see....

Not in your tummy, I hope.

I'm not going to sleep tonight worrying about your flipping chickens having the wind.

I'm eating bread - reckon I'll wipe it on my forehead instead of wasting the butter!
  • Really windy here already - had trouble keeping the car on the road coming up the coast. Keep safe everyone

fuddle if you wrap the freezer then you will need to remove the covers to prevent a fire risk as it may overheat once the electric comes on.

Completely O/T, but please can I have any spare hugs as I am a bit all over the place this week.

On Monday I got confirmation that I had passed my final exam and am now fully qualified! But then today I have received the final letter from our solicitor confirming that my dad's estate is all sorted out. I know it's good that it's sorted, but it seems to underline the finality of things.!

Lots of hugs being sent to you, and congratulations on passing Dr.

Totally understand how you feel, my dad passed in July and he was so worried about me, not because I was studying but health wise and was wanting to try and come up with some things to help me manage but his sudden decline in health stopped him and he had so many ideas of things that he could build to help me ( he was an inventor and electronic engineer). So when I build something simple or do something he suggested that helps me, it feels bitter sweet, as thanks to him I have whatever it is, but he is not here for me to tell him as he would be so pleased as only one of my brothers and sisters that every had any interest in what he did, but I just couldn't make it my career, not interested enough, so now I am doing things like him but he is not here to know it.

He will be so proud of you, you passed and his going didn't stop that, and that is what he wanted, you didn't give up. So very, very well done.

    Hugs, hugs and hugs
