I've got Goggie envy :(. No goggies for us yet, but hope to one day...

Kate - Have you seen the 'Angel Cakes' book in The works - its gluten, wheat and dairy free cakes, £3.99 but in two for £5 deal. It looks very good!

Gardenia heres a linky for Johnny cakes, Iv'e never had them but they look good!

I fintd that I am not able to relax peacefully at any time of the day at the moment - always thinking there is something that must be done. OH does not seem to have the same problem :rotfl:.

Sun came out this afternoon so I was able to get up into the garden and put in the tayberry and raspberry canes I dug out from home. I hope they take, as the tayberry jam I made recently is delicious.

Hope everyone else is ok, Kidcat, hows the DS's leg?
Mar - have visions of you wriggling around the garden like a commando with kale leaves in your bonnet! :rotfl:

MEME - if you have little men in white coats coming up the drive assume that they are painters and make them do the stain on the new garden futniture, save you a job!!!!!

:rotfl::rotfl: good idea I'm going to keep the brushes handy :D

Sorry about the pics people, I know you didn't want to see Halloween pics but I have noooooo idea how to get them off :D

Evening all - hope everyone ok.

Mrs Chip - its getting a little better, but still bleeding on occassion, and he is still messing with it, have gone through several boxes of dressing pads, rolls of micropore tape and all the butterfly stitches the hospital gave us. Its a battle. Thank you for thinking of him.

Has been a marathon day, started with school rushes, followed by kettle return (very nice in BHS and changed no problem) then onto carers exhibition thingy, was very good and informative. Then back to collect DD6 from school for needles, trip to shops, then onto collect DS8 from school. Back home, quick sort out and out again to view house with friend. Quick coffee stop then onto a governor training session!! Back home at 8.00pm.
Ironically I chose the governor training as it was a "quiet" day in my diary yet it filled up so quickly!

Tomorrow is nail biting as its DS13 ADOS appointment - then more waiting for results.

Overall I feel today has been very productive and enabled me to "network" but am now exhausted.

Have made a momentous decision this week, that I am going to look into teacher training. It will mean me starting a course probably at same time and place as DD17 but I think if I am ever going to have any type of career I need to be making some sort of move now before its too late.

I dont feel my goal is necessarily to enter a school to teach but I would like to look into maybe a nursery setting with a strong emphasis on special needs and include after school provision for special needs children which is something that is completely missing in this area. I now need to look into the practicalities of the training and decide whether I can squeeze the requisite hours into my day.

Well done Kidcat, you have the drive and enthusiasm and yes, *NOW* is a good time. You will not regret it; you will only have regret if you don't do it. Are you a graduate? If so have you seen this?

Just had my phone bill, something of a shock. I've been meaning to cancel/change, I'm with BT, but this has motivated me to start looking for another provider. I find I am paying more for what I get, (basic) than I would if I was a new customer with unlimited calls and more BB useage!! Am I a mug or what?! I am so cross. Why are loyal customers penalised like this.

So, tomorrow, I will be contacting them. Will be interesting, especially as I have to pay my large bill before the end of the month.:mad:

Morning everyone. How are you all? I have been missing in action because I have been involved in the equal marriage campaign. I wrote a response to the Archbishop's letter and handed it out after Mass outside my church on Sunday. If anyone wants to read it, pm me and I'll send you a link as someone has put it on google docs (not me, I wouldn't have a clue how to do that!).

Anyway, I don't want to start a fight over the pros and cons as I'm aware that people have different opinions.

Doc, Bruno was a naughty boy on Tuesday. He found a lovely patch of daffodils and, before I could stop him, he rolled on them and flattened them all. I was so embarrassed and cross with him. I suppose you dogs don't really appreciate flowers much .....

Approved Foods have tilda long grain rice, 7.5kg, for £2.99. You would only need to buy two bags and you would more than have covered the national rate of postage that they charge. I'm off to put an order in now before I go to work.

Take care everyone xx Only 10 more days before the clocks go forward :)
