Greenbee - thank you, am going to call my GP today but also buy a small wipe board I can use to help with communications

Meme - If the phone rings someone else answers and talks for me, not so bad if DD17 is here, but awful if OH does it, he genuinely hasnt a clue, was asked for my email address and I wrote it for him, he just couldnt read it out, nightmare times.

Have managed to locate the transaction for the kettle through my online statements so am off to return faulty kettle. One morning with no hot drink is enough for me!!

I'm planning a sit in at my surgery if necessary - I was last seen last week and told to come back in a week's time if things hadn't improved after I stopped the antibiotics, but I'm having trouble getting an appointment. I need to get more throat sweets (they do help) anyway, and I'm sure a walk would do me good.

If the phone rings people can either hear me on they can't. I don't have children, and everyone else is banned from the house, as having them around means I end up talking which isn't helpful. I have a carpenter here at the moment, and talking to him about 3 times a day for 5 minutes is enough for me to tell whether things are getting better or worse! I have a week and a half to get back to normal... I have a work trip after that and will have to be able to talk :)

Ah, but now you are going to have to think who you want to do the voices!

Hobsons:- I agree Masterchef is a must in our house. I love Masterchef the Professionals too, but I think it's because of Michel Roux junior. Am quite partial to the twinkle in his eye! :rotfl:

Am being bone idle this morning. We have had a good couple of days in the garden. DH trimmed the tree and the hedges, we like to get them done before the [STRIKE]lodgers [/STRIKE] blackbirds start nesting in earnest. Hopefully last years Green Finches and Hedge Sparrows will rebuild this year too.
We were given some wooden benches and chairs that have seen better days so they got pressured washed before we stain them. Then the lawn was cut and edged and the bit weeding done. Although my contribution to this flurry of activity was minimal, I am a bit off my game today. Not a good thing but know it's my body telling me to rest. So sitting in garden throwing stain at chairs is on hold which is why I am here with a cup of tea and my feet up!

It's an odd thing, I like to get everything done in the mornings so I am happy to sit and rest in the afternoons but I feel uncomfortable/restless if I do nothing in the mornings! I don't even feel comfortable enough to read my book.
It's a guilty thing I think, my brain is telling me I'm being lazy! Will have to give myself a good talking to.......And on come the men in the white coats!:eek:
Give us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temparate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving to one another.”
  • MEME - if you have little men in white coats coming up the drive assume that they are painters and make them do the stain on the new garden futniture, save you a job!!!!!
