Docky, you are such a good goggie helping your Mumi enjoy the mud. My goggie once dragged me down a muddy hill so that I could have fun too.
I was just in the bank and a woman was telling the cashier how she had started up a new business, and when asked what, said it was Indian head massage and reflexology (she added another name to the reflexology part so suspect it's not the foot one, does anyone know)...anyway, before you knew it she was handing out business cards. So it got me thinking, I have always thought about counselling or therapies as a business. The counselling course I was accepted on a couple of years ago, I had to turn down because of cost. But I do want to aim for something if the pet sitting doesn't take off, so does anyone here have any experience please? You can tell my mood has improved as I'm thinking and planning again! :T0 -
meme: I'm exactly the same as you. Have to do all my "jobs" in the morning or I can't relax in the afternoon.
Must be the work ethic that was drummed into us!
Like Mrs L's idea though.Normal people worry me.0 -
I'm another one who cant realx and do nothing in the mornings, even when the ME is in full spate I have to dotter around making an effort. Then the RV yells at me for tiring myself out, I yell back, and we spend a nice huffy relaxing afternoon not speaking. Ok well it's a system LOL
First day that its been nice outside, teeny wee glimpse of sunshine this morning whoohoo. I attempted to make a bed for a couple of runner beans while he was washing the car. As soon as he finished and spotted me ( I was flat on the ground a la SAS but hes got good eyesight) I got yelled at, but had most of it sorted by then. Wouldn't mind if he was going to do it for me - then the yelling would be ignorable - but he doesn't!
I do want to try beans, I never paid any attention to them before because I thought they were those godawful yellow hellish things my mum was so fond of cooking (yeuch) but since I found nice green things in stir fry I have changed my mind LOL0 -

Hi Gardenia - I think you mean Hard bread - linky to recipe here.
It was my link to that website, you are right some very yummy recipes, I love west indian food (ok, just food :rotfl:), and its great to be able to find site like that.
That looks like ite Mrs C - thanks. The recipe looks suprisingly easy (:rotfl: that's put the kiss of doom on my attempts) & I thought there must be some magic ingrediant in it as it tastes so yum, but apparently there isn't. My Dad's GF is from St Lucia & she used to make the best macaroni cheese (Xmas lunch) & some roll type thing called Johnny cake - any ideas? Sadly we've lost touch so I can't ask her.
Hope your unpacking & sorting is going well.
I have a house viewing tonight (been trying to sell for well over a year now) so I've been madly cleaning & that is bad enough even when you know where everything "should" go. Hope they turn up as the last lot didn't bother
Katieowl - hope your DD is happier at home.
Kidcat - sounds like a hard week - best wishes. Why do electrical things seem to go all at once?
Stiltwalker - sounds like you have some decent support workers & glad they've left you in doubt that you are doing it all "right" - that must give you a great feeling IFKWIM.
Hugs to all of you - I'm off to bath a smelly boy who has an infected ear which is vile, then more cleaning (yawn) then I'm going to staple both DD & DS to the sofa where they will be instructed NOT TO MOVE or make a mess until the viewing is over.
When they've left I shall open the wineas it will be well deserved.
And I find that looking back at you gives a better view, a better view...0 -
Not posted much lately. Have builders in (SIL). Following is text to DD and responses:
Me to DD - I have an indoor sandpit
DD to me - Good, I'll send kids with buckets and spades
me to DD - OK, don't forget sun lamp
DD to me - It is OK, roof is coming off today :eek::eek:
I would never have believed that such a small room refurb could cause so much trouble. And the muck
On a doggie note, mine wants to know if any want training in the following:
Get chuckie ball chucked
THROW - (not drop) into middle of canal
Laugh while grandkids are lowered over canal to retrieve ball
Rinse and repeat
She says she will be delighted to train any doggie not conversant with above game.
Hope everyone is getting better and poddling on.

My goggie is coming home for a week next week! :j Docky, she likes to play chasing the pebble game, I throw them in the water at the seaside and she runs in trying to find the exact one, sometimes she gives up and brings out any pebble she finds. She would love the ball game but I might not mention it to her...I fall over easily, and mud is slippy.0 -

That's OK Docky, people think she's a he, just because she is a boxer and for some reason don't think there are female boxers! Silly peoples.
