Phoned Credit card company yesterday and it now appears that they haven't taken any payment...maybe the pending transaction was never finalised, I don't know. The adviser I spoke to couldn't find any records for £149 although on the day I placed the order the transaction did show up...very strange, unless the adviser didn't look hard enough!
Maybe I have a less of a case now, although looking at the order tracking it still says "Order Accepted"....0 -
Keep the updates rolling in guys/gals!
There must be someone who's made some headway into this matter.0 -
I have written Littlewoods to complain at the handling of this fiasco and told them I do not wish to accept the offer of 25% off as they took the funds from my bank account,, I now await their response0

I have contacted https://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk (comment from their website: see below)
A trader who mistakenly prices a product (for example, “28 inch widescreen television for £39.90” instead of £399) is not obliged to honour that price unless the transaction has already been completed. The trader must nevertheless take immediate steps to rectify the mistake.
If the cash was debited from your account, this means 'Transaction is Complete'.
I have informed Littlewoods, they have responded by cancelling my laptop. I now must send them a Recorded letter stating this fact, allowing 10 days to reply, if not proceed with County Court...its an open & shut case!
Everyone whom has cash taken from their account needs to do the same. Maybe we should even club together, create an Action Group to deal with fiasco.

Beg to differ
if you are claiming:
Up to £300 £30 fee
£301 to £500 £50 fee
£501 to £1000 £80 fee
£1001 to £5000 £120 fee"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
Bertrand Russell. British author, mathematician, & philosopher (1872 - 1970)0 -
Only if you are claiming money.
For goods it is £1500 -
There's a fee required to start a small claims case so it's important to have confidence that you can recover this amount of money before you think about going to court.
For non-monetary claims the fee is £150, but for money claims the exact amount you will be required to pay will depend upon the amount of your claim. At present, the fees for a claim are as follows:
Amount Claimed County Court Fee Moneyclaim Online Fee
up to £300 £30 £20
up to £500 £50 £50
up to £1,000 £80 £80
up to £5,000 £120 £1100 -
Im sure if you are in receipt of income support, tax credit etc...its free. I will double check!0
