Have you informed your credit card company and asked them to chase it up ?0 -
No, I haven't. What can they do though especially if Littlewoods then refund the card?0

You have an extra layer of protection if paying by credit card. Ring them and tell them what has happened. They will chase all this up on your behalf.0

Its very strange all this.
I ordered the £149 laptop from littlewoods on the 30th and have recived the email stating the A100" laptop with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 PR4277" will be delivered on the 20th of Feb.
I emailed to enquire and got the email stating "You placed an order for the laptop at the incorrect price, which we have already declined" and offering me 25% off the full price.
All this didnt bother me too much, but:
1: the cash HAS left my account and I have not been reimbused.
2: I got a letter saying that my bank did not authorize the transaction. This is clearly not true.
Why didnt they just put the money back into the account and cancel. Why all this? Dont really know what to do now.0 -

Got an email from LXDirect to say my credit card had been refunded 3 days ago.
Called Barclaycard, they confirmed there was no refund showing, and nothing pending.
They've flagged the charge as "in dispute" and taken up the case.
Mr LXDirect meet Mr Visa ... enjoy the fight
Next up, do the same to Littlewoods. Not everything that's cheap is a bargain0 -
Any updates on this guys and girls?0

Given that no contract was formed, their terms and conditions are essentially void. On this basis Littlewoods cannot rely on clause 5 (Privacy) which allows them to retain our details.0

Who says that no contract was formed ? I've been reading up on contract law since this fiasco started and there's a good case for a contract having been formed from both the vendor and the consumer POV. I'm not going into intimate details now but there's enough in this thread to show that Littlewoods would have a case to answer should anyone want to go to Small Claims over this deal.
Anyone heard back from Liverpool Trading Standards ?0 -
Yes somebody replied earlier. They said they can only take action if application was made by a Liverpool resident.0
-
Yes, I know. Sorry, that's what I was asking.0
