If anybody is tempted by these really good offers, can I give a word of warning? These little greenhouses are very useful for bringing on seedlings etc but they can be very unstable in wind and blow over very easily. (A distaster if you've got them full of young seedlings you've just sown). Anchor the bottom shelf down with buckets of water or heavy objects. Alternatively if you have space, position the greenhouse against your house wall, drill a couple of wall bolts into the wall either side of the greenhouse about two thirds up its height and use a nylon "click in" luggage strap to wrap round it. (available from Halfords). If you locate the wall bolts too low down, when the strap is in place you will find it difficult to open and close the zip-up ventilation door.

mine has little metal loops on the back of the cover which i have used to tie it to the wall twice and have heavy pots on the bottom shelf.

they do go over but easily if not secured - weights in the bottom is no enough.

last year it was in the back garden and was tied into the hedge!

I bought this one a while ago and it's great. I'm growing 8 tomato plants and all my chillis, peppers and courguettes in it too. Much easier to work with than the little ones. Bargain.

This is a very good price, it is actually a rebranded Gardman product, made in China.

There may be a reason that these are being sold off cheap.

If my informant is correct B&Q who are a major buyer of this product is in the process of banning the sale of plastic products which contain phthalates.

Phthalates are added to plastics to keep them flexible and the covers on temporary greenhouses like this currently contain this chemical.

Phthalates get a bad press and it may be the case that with B&Qs decision the supplier is dumping the product as a rebrand cheaply pending the Chinese producing a new cover without this chemical.

I actually know someone who deals with this product who now refuses to handle it or use it to grow tomatoes.

Phthalates are in all sort of products, some very very personal, follow the link and make up your own mind.

You might also want to consider this, if you want a bit more, but are short of space. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
