I'm very grateful for the tip about Wyevale as I nearly bought one of these at full price a couple of weeks ago! Fortunately, I didn't, so today was able to get one at the reduced cost.

For the record, they have two brands on offer, Nortene and Gardman - they are the same price and, I suspect, exactly the same houses.

Incidentally, my local Wyevale also had some good offers on gloves, too, with a huge tub containing last year's models (like it matters!) all at 50 per cent off the marked price. It's certainly worth checking.

Anyone know how big this one is. I only have a little garden.

    I have one of these

but it has blown over twice in the last 3 weeks! After me planting pea seeds (which had germinated by the time it fell over!) It is actually still over now. Not really sure which way to go. I haven't seen the 3 tier ones in my local B& Q but they sound quite good.

My plan was actually to make myself a wooden one with polycarbonate glazing but by the time I get around to that it will be next spring!

    Hi All
I have just bought this from my local B&Q - Southend, I thought it seemed a good bargain for £19.98.
This greenhouse features a steel frame with no sharp edges, a PVC (0.15mm) cover and can be easily moved. Inside contains three shelves of storage space for your plants and the lean-to structure is designed to attach to a smooth vertical wall.
Couldn't attch a link for some reason
Hi lynseydee yes that is the one, its a lot more sturdier than the cheaper one and is half price.

I have just bought a 4 tier Spear and Jackson from woolworth on line for £14.99 had it delivered to the shop. Or delivered to my house for an extra £4.95. Good maker and a bargain i thought.
The solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.

i bought the B&Q one last year in the sale i think i paid £19ish for it. it is very different from the green plastic ones on sale for almost the same cost. I had a plastic one last year and it lasted one season. The B&Q one took a bit of putting up, by very handy hubby, but it is very solid. Like others have commented mine did not budge in the recent high winds, it only takes up slightly more space than the plastic one i had but it is much taller and the plastic cover seems thicker.
  • Hi all, l am new to this but this thread caught my eye and l
just wanted to give a warning about the mini greenhouses:exclamati They are fantastic for all your seeds and bulbs etc, l have had a four tier one for about a year now and have had lots of good results but OH MY GOD.... BEWARE of the strong winds. ..... Mine was blown over last year and l lost alot of seedlings and other plants were damaged:( Once l had righted it again l put approx 8 house bricks in to sturdy it and that was great till the stronger winds of two weeks ago, yet again it was blown over and the bricks fell onto my new seedlings and plug plants. What a mess! Luckily l have managed to save most of them with the help of my daughter. Now it has more bricks and is well anchored to my shed by those elastics that you use on roof racks. When the wind gets inside it, its like a parachute so please take care, all your hard work will be worth it in the end. HAPPY GARDENING!:)
  • Hi all, me again,
Wondering if anyone has any really good advise on how to stop my dog digging up my garden. Decided to do a makeover last year, so turned it all over, got rid of any rubbish and things that were buried, laid top soil ready for new turf, laid a patio and erected a fence. lt was getting a bit too cold to continue so decided to wait till spring to get new turf. Thing is l have a border collie, less than a year old who insists on digging for England, also will eat plants if he can get to them (they are on a table at the moment) My garden looks like l have reverse mole hills everywhere. l would like to now get it finished but dread the thought of him going outside only to dig again and again:mad:

Any good advice apart from shooting him will be appreciated:confused:
    Thanks

Thanks for this. I have had a 4-tier greenhouse for about 6 years and it needs a new cover. Have been advised a new greenhouse is the cheaper offer!
