I bought one in Focus last week for £12.50 I think. There were not many around.
    Nice to save.

Just got a leaflet through the door, Wyevale Garden Centres are selling a 4 tier greenhouse/growhouse for half price = £14.99 at the moment which isnt a bad price if you have one local to you.

    Here it is online.

  • Oooh, great offer! Thanks for posting it.

One word of warning - these are NOT GOOD for windy places! I bought one last year and the cover blew away! :( I now have a glass cold frame, which is a bit more robust when it comes to Pennine gales.

I expect they'd be fine for less exposed places though. :)

Mine is NOT in a windy place AND have moved it after each incidence of this, but it still happens and many of the little plastic squares have gone over large areas. Yes, I DO weight it down at the bottom, it IS now against a shed, even so....
It has been useful, on balance, now I know.

In a windy position i would fill the poles with sand before assembly it adds to the weight and helps stop it dissapearing into the distance. I did the same with a poly tunnel years back, it was made of hollow plastic tube so i filled them with sand, worked a treat.

If you are interested in a plastic greenhouse which is bigger than the 4 tier one mentioned above, try Morrisons. They have one at 20 pounds, reduced from 30 pounds.

We got one last week from Wilkinson at 30 pounds :(http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/invt/0260896 but Morrisons are now selling them for 20 pounds.

i bought one of these last year when it rained the roof filled with water it collapsed with the weight i lost most of my baby plants too, the greenhouse couldnt be fixed as all the fittings just snapped.
Can i suggest if anyone does get one to re inforced the roof with canes or make the roof more pointy so water runs off.
