Phone is good.but miss a lot of SWYPE and other bits from my old android.in terms of apps.I found most of them that I use.battery can be improved and a front camera would have gotten my five stars.0
-
I'm not bothered about the lack of front facing camera, there were around years ago and I never used them, same applies for me.
It's a great bit of kit, possibly the best build quality of any phone I've owned (it's between this and the Nexus One), it could do with more decent free apps, and it would be nice if Nokia could sort out the long awaited ICS.
I tried to buy one for the missus in the recent Argos debacle0 -
I don't think I'll use this phone after the trial. It's died on me a few times, first time battery was low, I spent hours trying to get it to come back on. Subsequent times the battery hasn't been anywhere near empty, its a potch trying to get it started again, gets stuck on 'Nokia' screen.
I can't send and receive MMS. My mobile operator (three) can't help either as I have their correct settings on the SIM.
I dont like not being able to customise home screen, not a big fan of the live tiles.
Camcorder focusing a bit dogdy.
App choice isnt that great (imo)
Having said that, I do like the weight, screen and the camera and the Office features are excellent.
I miss the flash content that I get on my Android.
I haven't been asked to install the 360meter yet either?0 -
I don't think I'll be keeping it either - as above, love the hardware but miss the customisation options from Android.Come on you Red and White Wizzaaaards!0

I would not be using either....main drawbacks are
1. No SWYPE....for me typing using onscreen keyboard is pain in the back...touchscreen can only be put to good use by having swype in place than a mediocre at the best built in keyboard
2. as already pointed above, focus on camcorder is just waste of time
3. not able to save username/pwds..... that is one of the basic things i would expect on a smartphone....there are half a dozen websites i visit thrice a day....i dont want to TYPE my username pwd everytime i did that
4. Battery....doh....my Atrix had a 1.93ah battery compared to meagre 1.25ah on lumia 800....
5. PENTILE matrix.....i seriously doubt if i go for the pentile screen next time....having come from Galaxy S (before Atrix) which used a superamoled screen going back to pentile is pain....text clearly looks grainy an dpixels could be easily seen
6. Basic functionalities such as controlling call waiting option is missing......have no words to explain how imp that feature is
list goes on and on...0 -

The Atrix has a PenTile matrix screen as well.0 -
The SGS screen is PenTile too, I'm not sure what you're saying?0
-
Got ya, and I can relate to that.
BUT
The 720P PenTile panels from Samsung are great, the pixel density is high enough to remove the effect.0
