• Has anyone had problems sending mms picture messages? I just tried to send one but it says it can't send  I'm using my Lumia on the Three network.

Only just completed a survey....have to keep this niggle for the next one.

I think I read that someone was mildly peeved that they couldn't have custom ringtones, apparently you can buy doing this:

1. create an mp3 file of your ringtone (by trimming/downloading), the file must be less than 1 Mbyte (1024 Kbyte) and less than 39 seconds
2. in an mp3 tag editor (eg itunes, zune (if it can)) set the genre as 'Ringtone'
3. then use the zune software to sync the track to the phone, it should show up in your ringtones and it won't show up in the music player.

many thanks for explaining the process. Must have taken a long time to find this long solution, definitely helpful those wanted to have their own.
the way the ringtones are actioned are not efficient in wp7.
did any one notice that there is no way to check the status of call waiting option. what a pity my 12 yr old nokia has that option. this OS is for sure missing some basic functionalities.....

That was probably me... custom ringtones have never been a problem, it's custom SMS/email tones you can't do (yet).

Install this: zune://navigate?phoneAppID=b95840dc-a542-42a6-bee4-7d1a12f62d2c (open link with your phone) and use it to set Three up properly. You must have installed the .11451 firmware (mid December update) to use it.

Or download Ringtone Factory from the market - search for a song and then set is as your ringtone - worked for me.......

Just connected my phone and it said an update is available.
just updated it....
yet to notice the difference....the screen showing the change log during the update seems to have not been updated.#
presumably this update is to guarantee a better wifi connectivity plus improve battery performance.....that is what the facebook page mentioned though.

Thanks for the reply Rusty, I tried the link and it said it's not available for my network.

I did a bit of Googling and found that App was pulled because of a security issue.

That was ages ago, it's been re-deployed now (I believe it's even built in to the new version that's rolling out), so no idea why it isn't available. I have it, but it doesn't cover Giffgaff :(

So how are we all getting on? so far, the actual requirements of this "Survey" have been pretty light!
