Thanks Kerri... is tempting but since I can't see half my new garden for stuff, I probably shouldn't...

I'll let you know what I get when it arrives :) I shouldn't have bought it either, but I only have a spade, a fork, a bucket, pair of gloves and a hand trowel :) So thought "why on earth not".

Will you be spending the weekend in the garden if it's nice?

aha see from what I remember of the last count, I have hand trowels, hand forks, string, ties, ph meter, dibber, dibbers with string, gloves, windowsill seed trays, seed trays, pots x many, compost, vermiculite, rake, hoe, spade and fork, secateurs plural, scissors, pruning saw, yet more pots, bucket, hooped canes, hazel bean poles... and even more pots from the last residents (however the ones they left with feet and cartoon faces will shortly be marching to the bin).

Grumpy this evening will post mini-rant later (lost it twice earlier, which only made me more grumpy :rotfl:)

I quite like the sound of the pots with feet and cartoon faces. Have you considered Freecycling them instead of bin?

I'm now imagining you in your garden like this:

:rotfl: Swop the beard for hair down the back but the pose is about right.

I have been curtain-twitching in my bedroom as some eejit decided to park in MY space this evening - the one that is right outside my flat, comes with my rent and also being right by my bedroom I feel rather safer when it's MY car in it instead of strangers wandering about feet away from my sleep. So that about rounded off my supposed relaxing supposed day off. He's b*ggrd off now shortly after I muttered curses... seems to have been related to one of the lads across the close so maybe now they're just scared of the mad lady who talks to herself :p

It started with the 9am meeting which turned into 2 1/2 hours of work, rushed lunch, pole lesson (that was fun), ages in traffic jam for what was supposed to be 10 min run to Currys, did succeed in buying hoover but did not succeed in buying shed from Homebass. Well I suppose I bought it, but don't have it yet as the floor base won't fit in my car  so it's probably going to have to be delivered. Friend's car boot probably won't take it either and although one of the lads at the shop very kindly offered to see if he could bring it when he goes past tomorrow I know he's not supposed to do that and would worry about it causing him bother. So will probably just take a half day and pay the £30. It will be worth it to get the rest of this STUFF out of my sight and as it was a 15% off day it was £18 cheaper than I expected, well £50 from the original price, so an extra few quid to get this place sorted is OK.

Just think, another week and it will all be done and I can move onto sorting out my masters, my gorgeous body and my social life :rotfl:

May have to readjust budget after realising that I really do have to buy sandals and rejig summer wardrobe. As I may need to impress at work over the next few months I ought to stop wearing jeans as I have done the last few weeks during the move.

Have been naughty :o ... bought a dress at the weekend (wore it today and love it, and had compliments on it, so hopefully a good buy), ordered 3 more from newly discovered online store whose sizing guide miraculously equals me so will see how they turn out, and bought perfume today since Neal's Yard have invented proper essential oil perfumes with no nasties in and that don't just smell of sneezy artificial stuff :j I now smell of real roses :T

Remembered to buy stuff for lunches when raiding Sainsbugs last night so hoping to save there again this week and start a habit.

DF things what need doing this week:
    • Change address on last two CCs
    • Change address on driving licence
    • Pay in birthday cheque
    • Arrange storage shed delivery (funnily enough friend who offered is too busy to help after all - spot a pattern, anyone? - so will be having it delivered as expected)
    • Sort out receipts currently on bedroom floor :o
    • Make list of other address changes that need doing (is so dull the rest can flaming well wait til next week)

Not much other news from me, staff meeting tomorrow so will see what happens. And I have to go in early  as have been nabbed to do presentation so must go to bed!

    Grrrr :mad::(

Am having one of those times when all the MS thing just seems too hard. My tracking is all off since moving and funnily enough, having had to buy new hoover and storage shed this month have put me over budget by about £250 already. I've also been restocking the freezer which has upped the usual Sainsbugs bills (besides buying dress, perfume and er, more dresses from fab newly discovered mail order company). Am Fed Up. It does get to feel like every time I get somewhere rapidly, something unavoidable like moving or family issues come up and knock it sideways again... I just want some fun :(

However... on the bright side, I have managed to put £1K away in a deposit and pay for move and new stuff, yet my overall situation at the end of this month will probably be about the same as in Nov. So it is manageable going forward, I just need to do things slowly.

I'm keeping one of the mail order dresses because it's just absolutely gorgeous, but will send back at least one of the others because they're winter ones and although they're lovely, I won't be wearing them for six months. I could send both and just wear the red dress I already have for a few weeks into spring - it's getting a bit faded but will do. There is a skirt that I really want from the mail order co but have only ordered that and not the bodice I was going to try but probably wouldn't actually wear. (Am not delaying ordering as it's a very small company and they just got a lot of publicity, so stock is likely to disappear.)

More tidying tonight and tomorrow, friends over on weekend (though happily, we'll be staying in my garden instead of having meal out after all), then need to get going on MSc and also try to re-motivate myself for DFing. But with a bit of leeway for fun stuff.

I so know where you are coming from here. this time last week I was laughing. I had enough money in my account that was mine to play with (once all bills and necessary stuff had been taken), I was on track to pay the CC off by end of its 0% then before I knew it I'd had to pay out £400 for the car and another £300 need to spent before end of June to get it through the MOT.

And to top it all i got a speeding ticket yesterday too!!

I keep fiddling with all the figures, am lucky I have some room to manoeuvre but there's not much fun being had here either.....
