    Grrrr :mad::(

    My tracking is all off since moving and funnily enough, having had to buy new hoover and storage shed this month have put me over budget by about £250 already.

    But you're not going to be buying those every month, so it will balance out.
    I've also been restocking the freezer which has upped the usual Sainsbugs bills

    Again, you had the benefit running down the freezer, so this is just balance.
    (besides buying dress, perfume and er, more dresses from fab newly discovered mail order company).

    Now that's probably more serious... ;)
    Am Fed Up.

    It does get to feel like every time I get somewhere rapidly, something unavoidable like moving or family issues come up and knock it sideways again...

    :grouphug::grouphug:
    I just want some fun :(

    It will come your way. Just let the good times roll and the bad times slide.
    I just need to do things slowly.

    Yes, you do...
    I'm keeping one of the mail order dresses because it's just absolutely gorgeous, but will send back at least one of the others because they're winter ones and although they're lovely, I won't be wearing them for six months.

    Are they on special? Best time to buy winter stuff is when they're getting rid of it - ditto summer stuff.
    But with a bit of leeway for fun stuff.

    Enjoy life.

    I've sent off the ticket requesting to do the course but there's no guarantee I'll get to do it.

    Now then Rosa, the thing I've learnt with mail order is that they charge you more than if you just went to the shop and bought it. So have you shopped around for the best price on those dresses? Are they putting you further into debt? Would they be more rewarding if you were debt free? Are they needs or wants?

    Ok sensible head off, you've had a shock of a time recently and being set back by £250 isn't as bad as being set back by £1000's. In relative speaking you're still doing really well even if you think you're having a blip.

    Have you thought about having a monthly budget then using whatever is left over to buy yourself something pretty? That way you can have guilt free splurges at the end of the month, but you're still cutting back where you can and not putting your debt free date further away :)

    Hope you feel happier soon, and I'm sure you look fantabulous in those dresses xx

    Hi Kerri :hello:

    The company in question only does mail order, the reason I picked them is because their size guide miraculously equals my shape... though I have just discovered that Ebay may provide me with some of their previous season stuff :j The one I am definitely keeping is kind of both a need and a want - it is fab enough to wear for fun but modest enough to wear for work, and I do have to replace work dresses this summer. It's not cheap at the start but I'd rather spend £80 :o on something I love and will wear, than buy one from the high street that I don't wear much, don't feel fab in and end up buying another one then anyway, because that ends up costing the same.

    Interesting point about 'further' debt... obviously it is all money I could spend on debt reduction, which is part of my problem... I set the budget very low because I am basically impatient, and then end up blowing it because it was too tight. Maybe I should work out what my minimum payments are and sort of figure a bit of leeway - so if it makes me worse or not leave the minimums clear for the month that would be bad, but not meeting first budget not quite so bad... hmmm.

    I do think I look rather fantabulous actually :D. Had forgotten how nice that feels :)

    Now where's a fingers-crossed smilie when you need one? Have a helpful angel as the nearest thing! :A

    I did a course a year or so ago, I got zapped by a 30 limit immediately after a change from single to dual carriageway with no early warning signs :mad: not worth challenging it though :( Was quite surprised to find all the people on the course were really normal, no Clarksonites... then again maybe it's because only the ones who feel guilty turn up :rotfl:
