on something I love and will wear, than buy one from the high street that I don't wear much, don't feel fab in and end up buying another one then anyway, because that ends up costing the same.

Was quite surprised to find all the people on the course were really normal, no Clarksonites... then again maybe it's because only the ones who feel guilty turn up :rotfl:

Hmm, well where are things at now..
Forgot to say, staff meeting went fine. Apparently we've met the target for work coming in at the moment. Plus I was asked to both present a piece of work we're starting and give an update on behalf of one of the other managers. I have no idea how these things end up with me, I wasn't supposed to be leading on the work and am one of several people working on the other update, but am not going to complain as the more useful I make myself in the current situation the better. I'm working over my grade, still, but at least am learning stuff in the process.- Change address on last two CCs - one down, one to go
- Change address on driving licence - oops, must do
- Pay in birthday cheque - hopefully tomorrow
- Arrange storage shed delivery (funnily enough friend who offered is too busy to help after all - spot a pattern, anyone? - so will be having it delivered as expected) - paid up tonight, should arrive tomorrow morning
- Sort out receipts currently on bedroom floor -
- Make list of other address changes that need doing (is so dull the rest can flaming well wait til next week)
Have been playing with spreadsheet and although the bad news is that the move has probably slowed progress by about 4 months, the good is that I do have flexibility and things will be settled with a reasonable budget by about April. I think I will have to try and move away from thinking about the total amount and progress as it just demotivates me to think about the total and when something slides, so I will try and think of a way of doing something for each month - even if it's just totalling up the money I would have spent otherwise for comparison :rotfl:
Having separate account pots is working quite well too. I've got used to using the car money one and have so far resisted taking any money out of the holiday fund. Am also refusing to put my birthday money towards clothes, though considering making an exception for some fabulously cute Docs that I have no real justification for except that I like them

Rosa my dear,
it matters not if you arrive at your Debt Free Day rather later than originally planned or hope for. The point is that you get there.
I was a good few months past my preferred date due to a combination of planned purchases - some fun & some plain essential - & a few very irksome unplanned purchases.
Most of these were car related & that's just life.
You will get there, keep going & maybe limit the fabby dress buying a bitFabby people don't need fabby frocks to shine.

Haha this is what's happening to me. On the plus side it has made me put an amount by every month (from next month) for car related expenses other than petrol, which I put by anyway.
There's always an upside......;)It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Don't fix an arbitary point, then think that it matters. The direction matters, the destination matters, the timescale does not.RosaBernicia wrote: »though considering making an exception for some fabulously cute Docs that I have no real justification for except that I like them
You have to keep that sort of thing under control, or you'll end up with a house full of crap like I have. I have 2 carrier bags full of video tapes when I don't have a video recorder.
I shall distribute them among my friends the next time I see them like the last lot of stuff..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Hmmm, I have a car fund already and it has made things much easier. Wonder if I should just have an 'unnecessary clothes' fund to help separate stuff I need to replace from stuff that is a bonus? They'll overlap a bit anyway but it might limit my excuses. And money from selling stuff could go in the fun clothes pot (there is a chance I might actually get round to fleabaying now that I can walk across my kitchen area without skirting boxes).
I finally have a mini shed, well the pieces of one anyway and hopefully all of them. That is following a drama about the delivery driver who was running late and apparently rang but my phone didn't pick up (I got the voicemails hours later), rang both doorbells but mine didn't work and it appears neither did the neighbours, and then phoned again to tell me he'd left the shed in my garden... it's just as well that call got through since I pointed out that my back garden gate is padlocked... :rotfl: he'd put it in the neighbours one. The neighbours I haven't met yet. So he turned up to find the right garden, and of course all this happened when I was in a bathrobe about to get in the shower . Thank something I have a giant fluffy one, though I then had to run and change so could help as he passed the stuff over the fence from neighbours garden :rotfl:
Shed should be put together tomorrow and have friends over to help and catch up, so am looking forward to that and probably a chilled Sunday. Should also be cheaper than originally expected as we're just buying in cakes rather than going out. Also think one of the fab dresses is definitely going back as the navy just doesn't work as well as the red one. Debating the red so will try it out on Sunday with sandals etc to see if I would wear it through the summer. Also going to keep checking Ebay for that brand now I know they fit me, in case of fab bargains.

 of course Docs and fab frock. Just different fab frock from the work kind. And these would also be fine with shorts and t-shirt, jeans etc as well as the white cotton halterneck dress I have just remembered is in my summer stuff...Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress
