Would you not want them to defrost first?

If I take stuff out frozen in the morning, it should be defrosted by lunchtime. And keep me out of M&S :)

I must have a *really* cold freezer - stuff is still a bit crunchy when it's out overnight.
And keep me out of M&S :)

That's not a good place to be. :naughty:

Though I suppose not as bad as S&M...

That's why it's not good for you. It is a smorgasbord of temptation, a symphony of sin - which will lead to a thunder of thighs... :naughty:;)

I just booked my beginner's poledancing classes :D :j woohoo! Now had better do the sit-ups and push-ups that tutor recommended...

Also, have reminded tutor that there should be another lesson on my Groupon deal. It officially expired in Dec but she did offer to contact me for another lesson since she hadn't got back to me when I first enquired, so hopefully will get it, worst that can happen is she says no. Am rather pleased with myself for doing this as I normally chicken out and don't mention such things. Since I also haggled for the new flat - refused to pay full asking price when I'm taking my own furniture, so hardly unreasonable - it may be that I am finally learning to haggle :)

I did also have a rant about delivery companies but you've been spared because I sent most of it to the company I ordered from instead... ooh, standing up for myself again, this is a novelty!

:rotfl: it'll certainly keep me fit but will take a while before I could earn from anything other than comedy value!

Well moving date now agreed with current landlord for end of the month, plus flexibility to move things bless him. (Though this may not be unrelated to his failure to fix the fire.) Still, am happy as it means if necessary I can continue to shift stuff by car in the evenings.

Two bags of stuff already taken to charity shop, one stack of mint condition books waiting to go to library (they accept donations which go into stock if wanted and if not are sold). I also have a few things to check value on Amazon before their fate is determined. And a few bits like picture frames which definitely aren't worth putting on Ebay so can go to either usual charity shop or the furniture place.

Have tidied out one shed today, basically consisting of putting stuff back in storage crates, so that's ready to go. Will get onto the other one tomorrow, pack that up and get the boxes inside to start on some of other rooms. Also need to pick up some extra-strength black bags for clothes etc but not too worried about the packing overall.

Trying not to worry too much about the money - moving is basically going to splat my DF attempts for the next 2-3 months by the time I've paid the deposit, paid for a van and will also most likely need to get a mini shed for the garden and barbecue bits. It's not hard as am so looking forward to having friends on the doorstep and a much better social life. Oddly, I feel rather better about the whole thing as recognising that I can move and it will slow me down but not be a disaster has helped me feel that my debts are not something scary and shameful, just something I'm fixing.

Oh and am very impressed with myself as have picked up a cable that lets me play music on my phone through the home cinema system :j - a whole £1.50 as used a Nectar voucher against the original £4  ... and just ordered one from Amazon for a whole £2 which should let me also use the phone with the stereo system in my room. I think that's going to be about the best value £6 I've spent in ages as it will mean I can listen to all the stuff I got by download instead of CD all over the house... without buying any new speakers etc :T

Debating whether I can be bothered to cook or whether being the weekend excuses defrosting an emergency pizza :p

  • Wow - get you being all achievementy! :T:T

I think you deserve the frozen pizza (stuff whether it's the weekend or not!).

Seems to me that you're right to be aware (rather than 'worried') about the money which this move will gobble up. I don't think what we're learning here is just about not spending...but also how to cope in a more practical way when we do. So yes, the move will eat into your funds...but it's a spend to save point really since the idea of moving closer to friends is already making you happier....and you have this amazing MSE skillset you've been building in advance of what is essentially a new start. Oooo *grins like a maniac* it's all soooo exciting!! :D
