OOOO, potential new flat, MSc on the move, plotting a veggie plot - life is most certainly on the move Ms B! :j:T:beer::T:j
Fingers, toes and eyes crossed for you - which will explain any dodgy typing from here on in...;)

Oooh allotment! Best thing I've purchased this year, I love watching my weeds grow *chortles* although onions are sprouting
Congrats on the flat glad you found something so quickly and that they've agreed to the spread payment. If you're going to be happier in new place then it's worth the hit on the debt busting, as happy homes mean less spending on trying to make oneself happy. Just don't forget that there's always some cost you forget when moving, mine was curtain rails and glazing film.

Thanks Nora and Kerri...
Kerri you are quite right about happy home meaning less spending on other things. I'm so pleased to have found that place so just hoping it comes through.
This weekend is a bit Pah so far. Had an annoyingly busy week at work, due to being given four days notice of one set of work to in new role which needs sorting for Monday, three proposals to write (one of which I have been asking about for the last three months, the others are entirely new) due by 11am Monday, and an issue arising which I have been warning about even before it was any of my business and now requires preparation and attention for a meeting at, guess what, 1130 Monday. Left work after 7 and did get round Sainsbugs but did nothing else productive as needed neutral time to wind down - also meant I went to bed far too late and without a proper meal. It was noticeable that I left Sainsbugs with Flake desserts and a magazine... the self-checkout guy laughed when I left the sweets and crisps as I told him I didn't think my day had been quite that bad after all.
Had booked to be doing stuff tonight - exercise related and therefore virtuous - which requires a long drive and means I wouldn't be back til late, so deliberately slept in today to compensate. Was getting very cross as only solution I can see to get everything done is to work tomorrow afternoon - not fair, but will ultimately stress me less than having to do everything in mad and badly prepared rush on Monday. And being out this afternoon and eve would have meant no relaxation time. Except that Very Fortunately I rang the place to check they'd booked me in, since I hadn't received the confirmation email... and they haven't. Would be cross at detoured plans, potential wasted 2 hr drive, and wait on lesson, except am so pleased to have the night off after all and be able to chill this weekend. So will just rebook... oh and I confirmed they will still give me the 20% off since it was their mistake
So now tonight is reading and a few minor chores, tomorrow I'm meeting a friend in the morning anyway and then will sort work in the afternoon. MUST go to bed at a decent time Sunday night because Monday will be bonkers. But the rest of the week should be reasonably chilled so will take back the time ASAP.
Also must cook, not just pick at things... off to start that

Still fingers crossed for house (wish me luck please), hoping to hear tomorrow as talking to current landlord in the evening. References all done so only worrying about whether credit report was good enough - do hope so as haven't even had a late payment in years.
Have been very virtuous tonight... backed up computer, updated smartphone which has fixed music player problem :j (and means I can listen to my guided meditations again :j) and ditched a small stack of books ready to go to the charity shop. Haven't started properly packing yet - feeling a bit superstitious until hear I have a house! - but am identifying 'stuff I wouldn't be bothered taking' and ditching it. Am surprised how little clutter there seems to be and also realised that a lot of the stuff in my room is already in boxes. TFF FlyLady :heartpuls... even though I don't really use the system any more, doing it for a few months really helped get things under control. Must try laying clothes out in the evening again.
I want to go through my wardrobe and figure out what I need, but it's probably more sensible to do that during/ after my move. Ran into a cute colleague yesterday who I'd forgotten about (thought he'd moved jobs more drastically than he has) so want to feel am looking good at work too
Right, off to wash up and must clean hob to impress landlord... then again he's done my reference already now

Thank yooouu :A ... *helps Nora up*... it must've worked 'cause
I got it :j:T:j:T:j
Credit reference apparently 'completely satisfactory' after all :rotfl:
Just have to sign the contract and pop into the office to pay them. Will need to do some shuffling of overdraft etc and need to figure out what to do about their request to have the standing order set up three days in advance of the rent date to allow transfer... I get paid on the 27th, rent will be due on 28th - don't really want to have to find another month's advance rent so will speak to bank and get this sorted, or see if they will move date to the Monday instead of the Saturday.
Very happy have got it though - am so looking forward to having a place that's just convenient for me. It suddenly occurred to me that I could take frozen meals to work if it didn't involve having to unpadlock the shed to get to the freezer in the morning :rotfl:

Rosa, if you have online banking then you could go onto there and transfer the money directly. I've been doing this for 2 years now so I don't get caught with the 3 days standing order shinnanigans. Also leaves me in complete control of my money :-)
So glad it all worked out ok.
Unpaid lock the shed? Hahaha xDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I'm thinking I could transfer too - don't think they get to see the standing order like they would with a direct debit, so as long as the money turns up on time they won't know how it was set up.
Yeah, the freezer in shed thing is a PITA. So is the washing machine being in there. It's only just outside the back door but still means unlocking two doors and occasionally getting wet feet. Never mind, not any moreDebt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress
