No because most of the events where the photo's have been taken have been out of school, so only few kids there.euronorris wrote: »Do the newspapers pick out the child for pics? I can only remember a handful of times that this happened at my primary school, and one in particular where the newspaper chose the 2 kids for the photo.wendy x0 -
Yes i do think it is a good school for my sons, just this slight problem i am having, unsure whether i should mention my concerns to the head, it isnt just me that has noticed , some other parents have also mentioned it.
No don't.
If other people have noticed it, then let them say something to the Head. Better for someone else to make themselves look an idiot rather than you."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Again i would agree with this, show of hands on who would like to go etc, only children who want to be picked , but does seem to be the heads choice in the matter, on who gets chosen.
But in that instance, they also need to be able to speak clearly, and sometimes loudly (depending on the event). Not every child is capable of that, no matter how much they want to take part.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Sorry, I don't understand. Do you mean that the school selected some children first, and sent them to another site for the photo shoot, event (whatever the case may be)?February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I agree with what most people are saying. It could also be that the school want to choose pupils who are most well known to the local community, ie people see them at church a lot and are familar with the families.
Out of interest is it a christian school or strongly linked to the church?Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
You could get son to show a bit of initiative and approach the head himself asking if he could be considered for a future event.0

I don't see any harm at all in mentioning that your son has commented on it and you wondered if they could clarify how children are picked for things like this so that you can explain it to him.0
