We buried Bruno today, a nice sunny spot in the garden - bless him:A

I hope all of you going though a bad times or supporting a loved one are okay.
Not feeling the love for cooking tonight - will bung in sausage and chips for kids.

Hi,
I had an absolutely empty day today ( except for hairdresser's appointment, which, when I turned up appeared to be for NEXT Monday!) and a list as long as my arm of things to do. I have phoned my DB, full stop.
The rest of the day has been spent in answering the doorbell, the phone and the vicaress who keeps shouting, 'Can you spare a minute?' I've made coffee, soothed injured feelings, given my considered opinion, dealt with estate agents and NOT done any cleaning, tidying, cooking, washing, Church magazine - it CAN'T be 4 weeks since the last one - or anything else that has to be done in the next few days.
HH: Happy birthday for yesterday. Life begins at 60!
Adelight: If I could I'd give you an extra 8 hours a day and another 2 or 3 days a week. But only if you share them with me.
JulieG: Oh, the waiting time seems endless doesn't it?
Lou: x x x
beemused: So sorry. There doesn't seem to be anything more useful to say, but you know how many people are wrapping you round with loving thoughts.
NPM: My darling autistic Grandson tried normal school and was very unhappy. He now goes to a special school that he absolutely adores, the only time he makes a fuss is when it's a holiday and he can't go.
That's it. If I buckle down I might get a bit done before I run out of steam.I believe that friends are quiet angels

afternoon all,
NPM...you have always done the best you can for Noah, if sending him to mainstream school was what you thought best at the time dont beat yourself up about it, give yourself a bit of slack!
Hester....happy birthday youngster!
Beemuzed....hugs to you and DS.
JackieO...you are so organised with your holidays every year....sounds lovely place for a nice restful break. So recognise where you are coming from re library....I go to my knitting group in one, the library is very well used for all sorts of things as well as borrowing books. One of the librarians retired early this year and they closed the library at lunch-time and 2 mornings a week to make up for the fact that she was not replaced.... they are going to close for the whole day on Monday from January so it seems as if they are getting round to closing altogether....everybody we can rope in is writing to powers that be, not sure if it will do any good, we can but try.
Lou....You will make it pet, its just very slow...many hugs.
Islandmaid....sorry to hear about Bruno....
Welcome to newbie....sorry, have forgotten your name, Alzheimer's is in full flow to-day.
Lame Wolf, hope that you feel better to-day.
Farmers Wife, will pm you my facebook details, although don't use it much, find much of the stuff silly....definitely old age I suppose.
Dinner to-day is last of the cheap steak from freezer, with turnip (swede) potatoes and some of the pickled red cabbage....got 3 jars so will be nice to accompany various things.
Lovely calendar in post from DD3 this morning, Perth zoo.
Hugs to all in need for whatever reason,

Evening all,
Had a great day shoping, and apart from 2 bits to order online I am all done for xmas :j, also bought myself a beautiful winter coat in TK Maxx reduced from £99 to £29 :T, cant remember the last time I have a posh coat, I normally just wear an anorak type, which is no good for evenings out etc, also got a new really long scaff, so thats me set for winter
Beemuzed, so sorry to hear your ds is suffering again, poor lad, wish I could help him xx
NPM, hugs to you too, you have done your best for Noah, perhaps a different school would be the answer xx
Have good evenings all xx0 -
NPM you make the decisions you think are best at the time. Stuff changes, Noah is changing and at least now he can express his wishes to a certain extent. I would see about getting him moved ASAP, be better for him and ultimately better for you xxxx
Lou blogger is great and easy to use but itmdoes play silly beggars a lot
Islandmaid not silly at all, Bruno was family, just because he had fur and 4 legs makes no difference xx
Bemused hugs for you and for your son xxxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
Evening all
Yes hubby & I did celebrate my birthday in the traditional way!
Cake Recipe, well it's not really a recipe, make a chocolate sponge, I made mine in a roasting tin & sliced it in half & layered it with chocolate spread.
I put half a jar of chocolate spread in the microwave to soften it, I poured some on to a plate & dipped the flat side of the chocolate fingers in the chocolate spread & stuck them to the side of the cake, when all the sides were covered I poured melted chocolate spread on to the top of the cake & then piled the marshmallow high on the top of the cake.
Hugs Hester
