Happy Birthday HH:j
OS wise have made big pan of soup and just making choc cookies.
Feel totally stressed at the mo:( making me tearful and snappy.
DS is not coping at school at all and it is all falling apart...he is now asking himself to go to another school. Am going to look at special school after christmas. I think he has reached the end of the rope in mainstream. maybe I did the wrong thing fighting to get him in there...:o:(.
DH going totally self employed in 2 weeks so that is stressing me.
one of my chicken ladies still isn`t well and the other 2 are still laying but keep finding brown feathers all over coop so not sure if one is being pecked or if they are doing it to themselves etc.
Just feel like I want to stop the world and get off for a few days iykwim...being on the constant hamster wheel doesn`t help:cool:
Beemuzed sorry to hear about your son:( I do wish someone could help him poor lad:o0 -
[QUOTE=alisonway; Just like to relpy to JackieO about her booked holiday.
<<<I live in Norfolk and Sea Palling is lovely. A cafe and amusements and a wonderful stretch of beach And a perect base to tour Norfolk if thats what you want to do.>>>
Hi Alisonway and welcome .Thank you for the info on Sea Palling It sounds just like the sort of place to go with four noisy lads who like swimming and messing around on the beach. We used to go to Sherringham for several years and did enjoy it as the Norfolk coast is beautiful.I googled the images of the place and it looks fantastic we like old-fashioned beach holidays where there is a bit of kite flying and beach cricket and my DD can walk her beloved hounds for miles.I like just to sit and watch the boys and have a read or knit and hand out the picnic bits to the lads as they return at intervals for some tucker. Its not too far from Great Yarmouth so I will see if we can get booked up for a show as well. There is such a lot to do and the boys love fishing so we will probably get a boat for the day on the Broads.Nice and relaxing and lots of fresh air .No money exchange worries or problems with 'gyppy tummy' suits us all I think .
Just got back from the spirometry breathing test and although its not brilliant she said it wasn't too bad either which is good news. Now I just have to wait for the results of all the other bits that has been done .But I am good and learning to relax a bit more and trying to 'slow down and smell the roses' more as well;) Well as slow as I'm ever likely to get anyway.:D
Just off for a cuppa then will pick the boys up from school.
Cheers chums

Hello, not posted for a while but i always read, never seem to do anything particulary interesting to write about. NPM please don't feel too down about your son and his schooling, you've tried. My son's a Y6 and goes to a special school in your area and it's fantastic, although i'm really nervous about the move up to big school. If you want to pm feel free but you sound like an amazing mum.
Happy birthday to HH
Well i'd better get on and do something today, going to make a chicken and mushroom lasagne for tea.
Take care all0 -

Good Luck vibes to Moorhens DD x
And welcome to Alisonway x
Am sitting here waiting for BG engineer as we have no hot water coming out of the taps:( although there appears to be some for the heating ( not that we've got it on) very odd.
Hope everyoe has a good day,
Hgs, spoons & hi5's where needed x
jaxx
Jaxx the reason there is heating is because the system has the same water in it all the time, it doesn't come from the water supplyhope it gets sorted quickly. X

Aaah that embarrasing moment when the gasman turns up at 3.15 pm & you're still in your p.js And he turns out to be someone you know but haven't seen for 3 years!!!!!

Hi Everyone
:bdaycake: Hester 60 is good:D Don't tell us you didn't celebrate in your usual fashion this morning????
islandmaid Sorry to hear about Bruno.
Had a good weekend the other side of the Pennines. They were a joy to see on the way over with all the autumn colours, and full sunshine, unfortunately on the way back it was murky/very misty in places, and no sun. Friday was lovely weather over there, and Saturday started so, then the mist came down, and boy did it feel cold (says the nesh one who is used to warmer climbs:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
Got back and had a brunch last night, followed by a bought Rhubarb Pie (Morrisons). Normal service will be resumed shortly. I had forgotten the loaf I had made, so we had to buy some bread too, so set to today and making a large Bread & Butter Pudding in the SC with the HM loaf I had forgotten, aka Mum's recipe, with the bread spread with Marmalade too, also added a little Evaported milk to the skimmed milk we have, and plenty of Nutmeg on the top.
Tonight it will be Aldi Gammon with Pineapple, and oven chips and frozen peas.
WM has been on with the darks, I did hang them out as it was quite bright here, but not windy enough, and don't think it did anything for the drying, but did get them in the fresh air for a while. Now in the convervatory, against the radiator, so must remember to see how they are doing when the heating goes off, rather than them getting damp again overnight.
I have spoken to Jayward & NicLou and we have arranged a mini-meet at the White Rose Centre for Thursday 1st December, we are fancying a girlie Xmas Lunch, as now not working don't get them like we did. Anyone else who is free and available to get there is more than welcome.
I nearly forgot, my Central Heating cover with BG due for renewal today, checked it out - they had increased it by almost 27%, so on the phone, they offered to take it down by £2 odd a month, but I had done a compare and could get it cheaper still from the AA, so they matched the price, hence it only went up 18p a month. Saving of over £58 in a year, better in my pocket than theirs.
(((hugs))), Spoons (here's a couple LW), Hi-5's and positive vibes all round. DG
By the way ebayed a Retro Leather Chair, and a Glass Coffee Table over the weekend, we had taken them out of the loft (again!!) and taken them down to DS's to keep them going while they had no furniture, and did quite well, put a Buy it Now on them, and then Chair went within hours for the Buy it Now price £20 > a dealer had offered, hindsight says should have put it higher, but never mind it went, the buyer had to go on the tube to DSs and collect it and take it back in a couple of trips. The coffee table sat there until the last 5 minutes with 5 watchers, then it shot up and ended up 99p greater than the Buy it Now price, so £110.99 before charges which I have told DS to put towards the table and chairs we gave them Xmas money for.Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club

I did this to a brand new carpet a few years back, thankfully it didn't burn all the way through. One Idea I found searching online was to take a razor to the pile to take out singed bits of carpet, I was lucky that only the tips of the pile were burnt. It did work and to be honest although I knew where it was no one was able to tell. Hope that helps.Feb 2012 Grocery Challenge £200/£4.00
