Thank you for all who provide responses. I really appreciate your time answering my questions.
I still want to hear the experience of other people who pay item through Paypal using their Credit Cards .....
I am very curious to know this as I prefer to pay by Credit Cards rather then taken directly from my Current account as the reason that I have mentioned on my Posting #1 as above.0 -
I've still managed to pay for something on eBay a couple of days ago with my Cap1 MasterCard so they still accept payments, I do have to change the payment options everytime as it defaults to bank funding everytime. These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!0 -

I'd be surprised if ebay/Paypal dropped the use of credit cards.
But, anyway, I've successfully bought a few items using my Visa credit card via ebay/Paypal during the past month:

Is it maybe to do with the seller rather than paypal / ebay? I had the same problem, it let me pay by CC one day but not the next, then let me pay by CC the next day againFeb 2024:
CC1 6537.66
CC2 7804.45
CC3 4221.17
CC4 2053.68
CC5 989.30
Loan 1 3686.44
Loan 2 5275.22
Total £30,567.920 -
Yes this is also what I am thinking.
The defauls on PayPal screen is instant transfer from verified current A/C.
Sometimes there is an option option to allow people to change payment from another source on PayPal Screen but sometimes not. I know very well how to pay paypal using Bank A?C or Credit Card as I have been doing this for ages.
But we will be 100% sure if more people write their experience here.wildheart83 wrote: »Is it maybe to do with the seller rather than paypal / ebay? I had the same problem, it let me pay by CC one day but not the next, then let me pay by CC the next day again0 -
This weekend I successfully opened a paypal account without having to provide bank account details and made a purchase using a credit card0

The same thing happened to me, I always used to get the option of paying through my bank account or by credit card. However, the last time I used it no option to pay by credit card only by bank account. I wanted to use my credit card and I am wondering if I de-register my bank account so they only have my card details will that force the matter in my favour.0

I paid by CC a few days ago. No problem here.
I do despise Paypal though.0 -
My PayPal account works very successfully via CC. Last used it a couple of days ago.
I don't - and wouldn't - have the option of also linking to my Bank account. Presumably PayPal have decided this is a cheaper route for them and have decided to default in that direction where customers have generated the option.
If they stop linking to CCs ......... that's most of their business gone.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

One of the sellers in my case included an online shop.
I had a choice of paying the shop directly via CC or going through paypal.
As at the moment a lot of sites seem to have expired security certificates I went though paypal.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0
