Morning All
Hope you had good weekends.
Had the car checked over yesterday and the b*ggering thing needs 2 new tyres, so bang goes me overpaying on my CC this month  Have also got the start of a cold coming, earache, sore throat and general grottiness. Am leaving w*** early to get the tyres put on the car, so at least I can snuggle up on the sofa when I get home. Thankfully, I changed the beds and did the ironing yesterday so not much to do.
Weighed myself this morning and have not lost anymore but at least I won't feel like scoffing with a sore throat!
((((Annie)))

Morning every-one. Well I had a pretty bad night with regard to sleep. I went to bed at 11.30ish.My ds woke at around 12.30. At 1.30 my dd woke me and said she had been sick, and boy had she!!(I hadnt heard a thing) I had to strip her bed (top bunk) and i am not quite 5ft in height. I then went back to bed only to be woke again by my ds who was complaining of earache.I gave him pain relief but it was 4.45 before we got back to sleep/bed and i had to get up again at 7.45am to get the others up for school. so I am feeling prettty "knackered" to say the least.
This morning i am doing the sheets that were stripped, as well as one other bed set. I have an ebay item being picked up so will have to look half normal for that. Rest of the day will be spent trying to keep awake and amusing the two poorly children that are at home.Good thing about two being at home is that hopefully they willl play together.(If they can refrain from arguing)
Anyway, better go and get sorted for my ebay collection, Have a good day every-one and hugs to all that need one. Love Elaine x“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -

:wall:I really am :wall: went to the Drs this morning for my weigh in, 'oh your not in for today', but I made the appointment 4 weeks ago and whipped the card out of my pocket, I have been this way before!!!!! eventually the Dr agreed to see me as the 9am appointment had not appeared........she was to say the least, less than helpful..............I had put on weight, as I expected, was not eager to give me anything to help my sleeping problem which has again reared it ugly head.............I know its all to do with whats going on at the moment, BUT I NEED SOME SLEEP.......last night is was well after 4am before I got off and then only for 2 hours, I cannot go on like this......I know it and so does my OH......I got a script in the end very grudgingly.
Yesterday I down loaded the forms to apply to the council for housing, gave them to OH to fill in, has he done it............NO:mad:   so it looks like its down to me again:mad:   I am ssssssssssssooooooooooo fed up.
Brightish morning load of washing to go out, so better go and do it then get myself a:coffee:of tea, am only having one cup of coffee a day just now and drinking green tea, not that it seems to be doing me much good........then I am going to slob out till the post comes, am waiting for a cheque for some stuff I sold on e bay, if it comes I am off to the bank and to get my(happy) pills....
Have a nice day...........................................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning everybody :hello:
moggins take care of yourself - I hope your migraine goes away before long. I don't generally get them, I've had two or three in my entire life, all linked to a combination of flickering lights and time of the month.
I'm in the office today. Still on standby for jury service for the rest of the week though - I have to phone the court this afternoon after 4 to see if I am needed tomorrow. I don't really know whether I'm hoping that they tell me I'm not needed for the rest of the week, or that I need to go in - there are pros and cons to both.
Am aiming for a no spend day today. In fact I can't think of much I need to spend money on for the next four or five days! I blew my budget last week (TWO Chinese takeaways!) and need to keep some funds in reserve for next week which will be a bit more pricey. This week I will need some milk, rice, potatoes, a newspaper on Saturday... hmmm that still comes to less than a fiver! However I am going to a friend's 30th birthday party on Saturday so will need to get him a present (a bottle of something, I think... will be a good few quid by itself). Oh, and some fresh fruit.
A Freecycler is supposed to be dropping into my office later today to collect a pad of manuscript paper I don't need (I occasionally use the A4 stuff, but this is an enormous thing meant for orchestral composition which I haven't used since I was doing A-level music 11 years ago) and I think I am being given a free food processor at the weekend. Not off Freecycle, but from a friend who offered it to me when I moved house. I haven't seen this person since, but have emailed him as I assume he will be at the party I'm going to on Saturday.
Loubee - any luck yet with the flat hunting?
Anyway ((((hugs)))) to anybody I've forgotten. Anybody heard from Penny-Pincher!! lately? (Is she meant to be back from her relatives' by now?)
See you later

Morning All
Off work this morning as the cat had to go to a check-up, the vets really happy with him so I'm pleased. Unfortuately he pooed in the cat basket on the way home so I've had to clean that out.
Had a quick tidy round and I'm going to prep tea in aminute, got to pick up DD from nursery for 12 and then I've got to drop her at grandmas on my way to work. Was really pleased with DD this morning as she let me leave her with out crying for the first time.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning all. Hugs to those that need them. :grouphug:
another week at work. Lots of teaching and supervising at the moment. Had a nice weekend which makes it all better. Went out for a Russian meal with my friends, that was amazing. The restaurant was incredible-lots of red velvet and wood panelling and the food was delicious!
Bargain Rzl- hopefully found one! :j Just waiting to hear from agents if it's ok for me to move in March (landlord might want to fill the place sooner). It's in Sydenham and very nice-newly refurbished, spanking new kitchen and bathroom. *crosses fingers, toes and eyes*0 -
Hello all, I haven't had chance to read everyone's posts (the trouble with posting later - you are all such early birds!) but have wizzed through. Really wanted to post something as haven't had chance over the past few weeks due to work commitments and it has felt strange. It's amazing what small habits can develop very quickly!
Anyway, been up and into work to do my photocopying of course handouts as resume teaching this week (joy of joys!). Also stopped by the bank to close the joint account I had with my previous flatmate; thought I was going to have to do my 'I want to see the manager' spiel when they tried to tell me that we both had to be there.. Fortunately, stress was averted and all is done (and I'm 64p better off!)
Then got some milk - have bitten the bullet and got a 4l carton even though I can't pore them very well. It's cheaper plus it'll save us having to go back for milk all the time.
Slow cooker is on with chicken curry (using leftovers from roast last night) - first time I've used it and it smells delicious :j Also think I'll do the ratatouille etc for tomorrow's lasagne in it tomorrow.
May try to wash the duvet cover, but not much else OS going on; need to do lots of work this afternoon and going to the cinema with dbf later.
Will try to look at breadmakers in Argos catalogue later - am seriously tempted seeing how many people do it on here... Will also check out the advice on here but have a quick query that you may be able to help me with: can you make muffins in them (as in breakfast muffins, not the American cake style ones)? We eat these at weekends and I've yet to find cheap versions; it costs us about £10 per month
Anyway, off for a run now before cracking on... Have lovely days everyone
New flat, new budget, new commitment to MSE!
