Hi to everyone today,
Hope you are all feeling okay and have had a good weekend. I have not posted for a while as the whole family has been taken down with a flu bug. I had to go with DS yesterday to the emergency doctors, and we both got prescribed with antibiotics for chest infections. Hopefully they will start kicking in soon.
Have been trying to keep up to date with the washing, but thats as OS as it goes at the mo. Think I will be glad to see the back of January.:D .
Have a good day all...POwieA woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0 -
Hi Guys!
Just to say Im back but not feeling too well.
Party went well and was nice to catch up with some relatives and friends:D Had another 2 invites for an engagement and a wedding, so have put them in my diary. Sister had a good time and that was the main priority. All the kids behaved themselves which was a relief. Coz of the free drink, some people got totally hammered which I think was out of order as they wouldnt have bought that many drinks if they had to pay for it themselves. I was totalling it all up and I came to about 3-4k:eek:    ...for a birthday party...stupid or what! That could of fed us for 2 years;) The food was devine though and took some back to our room:o as I refuse to pay for room service and mini bar prices. Took some iced bottles of water with us and biscuits:D
Today I had a lot of small things to do (calls to make, banking, parcel up ebay items, etc) and have done all bar one. WM has been on 3 times today and have now caught up. 3 items have to be dry cleaned as I forgot how many people smoke at these gatherings and I hate cigar stench. DW has been unloaded and toilet cleaned.
I have a new cleaner starting Wednesday (only day I could be slotted in) and she works along side with her DD. So she will be doing 6hrs a week but between them working 3 IYSWIM. They will also be doing the ironing and a few odd jobs for me. If it works out OK, it should be great and will mean I wont have to have someone in my home for a straight 6 hrs pw. For OH's sake, I hope it works well. He is so tired as Ive been quite ill and he has been looking after me through the night too. It makes it more difficult that we have no loo upstairs, so although I have a stairlift, he has to help me to the stairlift as Ive been unable to walk well for the past few weeks:eek:    ...oh well..lofe goes on and on and on and on and on:rotfl:
BargainRzl-I have MSN'd you my new mobile number as I had to change. In the process all my numbers were wiped so need your number again-sorry! Hows the bike?
Anyway, Id best go and finish that one last job;) OH is finishing the tiling hopefully in the kitchen over the next 2 days-so he is busy too:D
Hugs to all.

Hello all!
Just catching up with everything online until my last class of the day get here- I'm doing supply here til further notice now which is nice, I hope that I manage to stay here a while.
Had a busy weekend so didn't manage to come on. Did a party on Saturday, the little girl was lovely as were most of her friends! Then yesterday we went up to Lower Shorne to see my Nan-it was my late Grandads birthday yesterday so we wanted to be with her. Was a really nice day and we had some yummy food.
Have Guides tonight, should be an easy one as they are all doing their Go For Its. There are a lot of new ones, and lesser older ones now so we are doing a lot of the GFIs again... feels like only yesterday that they were doing them, but it's a whole new lot of girls!
Also have to call the vets about getting our little pup 'done'... he's now almost 8 months old and gosh do we know it!! He has been having problems with one of his legs/paws too so am going to speak about that-am unsure whether it's pins and needles, attention seeking or something else! We'll be getting him microchipped whilst he is 'done' tooPoor lil mite!
Not much to say other than that! Shall be busy most of the week, going to try and catch up with my letters when I have free lessons, make constructive use of my time seeing as though I don't have lessons to plan! Will be ordering our dishwasher soon, I cannot wait! Was meant to order it when I got my DLA backpayment way back in September, but that went on bills etc instead! Now we have a bit of money, we thought we'd get it now, so that I can get on with some housework and working on my website, instead of the washing up forever looming above my head and knackering me out!! Will get that delivered in the half term, yay!
((hugs)) to all of those who need them!
xx

Afternoon everyone. Thanks to Amie I went shopping after I finished cleaning the kitchen. I had two £10 Boots vouchers burning a hole in my pocket and for £5 cash I have got all DD's birthday presents for June. I have loads of stuff (Barbie dancing princess's stuff and Polly pocket stuff, about 7 large items in total) I also hit the end of the Debenhams sale and got 2 bras for less than a tenner, they usually cost me £20 each! And a lovely Craghopper fleece reduced from £40 to £16.
I also popped into Oxfam and got Mr Thrifty's How to save Money on Everything and a hardback copy of the Country Cookbook. The best bit is I went into Cash Converters and bought a Morphy Richards Pod Floor Sweeper for £19! I don't have to get the hoover out every time there are a few bits on the floor nowOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hi everyone.
I did intend to go to the gym this morning but I had too much to do again. I posted my first 4 ebay parcels and was impressed at how little it cost as I thought they would cost much more to post, so more profit than expected! :j
I've done the weekly shopping and my budget planning is going pretty well. I picked up a couple of bargains including Basmati rice (1kg) two for 90p. I am amazed at how much less I am now spending on our food budget and we are all still eating the same amount, I haven't told DH how much I'm saving as I'm using the difference to pay off the cc quicker! He's useless with money and leaves most of the shopping and saving to me thankfully.
I'm going to collect the kids soon and then it's sax lessons tonight followed by me going over the road with a few neighbours for a girls evening and bottle(s) of wine. :beer:0
