  • Afternoon everyone......remembered to look for a new thread! :D

Last night I didn't do any of the routine I usually do. My parents were baby sitting and dh and I went out to a book club meeting...........I can't remember the last time I left the house without at least one child in tow.:rotfl: Unfortunatly this meant I ran around like an idiot this morning and suffered the consequences - when I was making dd's lunch I wasn't paying attention and tried to do it too quickly which meant I sliced my finger with the bread knife. _pale_

Undeterred I've had a plaster wrapped around my finger and a pair of rubber gloves on and have done most of todays jobs.

My hot spot today was the childrens lego..... huh?, I hear you say. My parents have just handed me all the lego me and my sister had as children and my son received large amounts of the stuff at christmas. We used to build a railway right around my mum's lounge with a town built in the middle so you can imagine the amount we had. Me and ds have had a fun time building and sorting using tesco's resealable plastic bags we now have all the pieces for a large yellow castle and a firestation:o .

Well I have done my dailies but its been a struggle. 9 hours sleep in total over 2 nights is taking its toll. Have just done tesco shop for delivery tomorrow too. DD2 has just gone dow for nap so think I will see if I can grab 40 winks. Hopefully that will refresh me enough to tackle the ironing tonight.

So rather than flying today i am more hovvering....lol

Just to second what Pen Penguin said about the bathroom tiles. I clean with stardrops too, let them dry and then buff up with microfibre cloth. They really gleem. Maybe if your not keep on chemicals, clean them how you usually do then buff up with mircrofibre cloth.

Wow you've all done brilliantly! The new thread must have inspired you all :D

I still have my bathroom to do as I finished the kitchen and then went shopping at 10.30 :D I'll tackle that whilst DD is eating her tea.

You'll never believe what I have bought, but you'll have to find out on the Daily Thread as I am not double posting :D

Could somebody restore the sensation in my right arm and shoulder please?

Scrubbed the bathroom... thank god it's not that big! Chucked out LOADS of bottles that were collecting. My mother gave us a whole load of bubble baths, shower gels and that kind of stuff that she'd won in a bingo, and at first I was dead pleased. Saved me buying them. But ends up everybody just uses their own favorites anyway, and i was left with 10 bottles of half finished gue that was just collecting dirt.
    So out they went.

Scrubbing the tiles down did me in though! ugh!

    Anyway..

kitchen done. Could have done better but ran out of energy, so better next time. I just wiped everything down on the outside. Cleaned the kickboard even (thanks for the hint sis!) and cleaned the floor. Since the kitchen and living room are connected I mopped the living room as well.

I made our bed. (DH always seems to forget when he gets up later than me!)

just toilet to do today, and the last load of washing. I can't believe there is only ONE load of washing left to do!! My washbasket is doing a happy dance I tell ya! It hasn't seen daylight in months!

time for a cup of coffee now, as the smell of steak pie in my Slow cooker is drifting through the house.
Half an hour's peace before baby wakes up from her nap.
(I chased the others outside by asking them to help me clean. It's amazing how fast they can turn off the tv and dissapear on such occasions!)

    ta ta for now!
