    I am struggling this morning..

Did collect washing from upstairs, cleaned out 1 kitchen drawer (cutlery) and wiped bottom cupboards, but my heart is not in it today. Instead of getting on with it I keep walking out of the kitchen, having a little sit down at the computer,

Roasting a chicken in the oven for tonights tea. The kitchen is not dirty, just needs a wipe over. (or so i tell myself :D)

Someone, please give me some of your energy and motivation!

I've done the kitchen (did it before I put the computer on, how lucky was that?) and I'm going to do the bathroom soon.

Washing sulking on the line again, no chance of it drying I'm afraid.

Vacuumed right through downstairs - even remembered to change the vacuum bag first because it felt like it wasn't picking up quite right. Had a job to move it over the carpet after!

Well, I've spent an hour in the kitchen.. I have twinkly worksurfaces, my workrop appliances are shiny my sink is white again, I filled a binbag.. threw away the furry apples I found behind the breadmaker.

I am going to have a cuppa and set about clearing the floor to be swept.. the old highchair is being clung too.. saves cleaning it and all that! THEN.. I get to sweep the floor and clean the table.

The washing is back under control though!.. always a good feeling!.

the cooker MIGHT get done.. but I will do swish over the bathroom next time I go to loo.. or to spy on DD5.. she is mooching about somewhere in the house!

piixxy.. my 2 year old nicked the pc up until now too.. minxy aren't they? lol

AnW'sMum: Hope you find it, if it's any consolation my recent MOT certificate has gotten lost in the ether - sorted EVERYTHING and no sign of it - I probs chucked it out unknowingly ages ago *tuts* At least it's stopping the temptation of taxing/insuring my old car that's on OH's drive, that I don't need but WANT :D

Made a start on kitchen - and for something that wasn't too bad it's gonna take me ages :D

    Bathroom can wait *sniggers*
I've run round with the hoover, made beds, gonna stick a load in the WM shortly

mumoftwo: think of how pleased you're going to be with yourself when it's all done, put a time limit on it, say, and hour, then leave it at that, there's no point having to do things when you don't want cause then you start to resent it - it's happens to me all the time. :)

Right, bathroom done now and microfibre cloth washed and draped over garden bench to dry.

    Time to cook lunch.

Wooooooohooooooooo I found it :j decided to go through the dreaded hot spot pile of paperwork, found a comp slip saying here is your licence a passport from when I opened a new account late last yr and lateral thinking 'it must be in my important things not to lose draw' and hey presto there it was!!!

Just had to share that with you all, will carry on with the pile of paperwork see if I can reduce it. No more than an hour though.

Well done AnW'sMum, that must be a relief!
  • OK. New thread, new week (nearly) new month, so - new start.
    I can do this.
Trouble is I have spent the last 37 years working to someone else's timetable and I'm not good at self-discipline.

    1. Kitchen (moggin's list)
    2. Bathroom (moggin's list)
    3. Make app. with Dr.
    4. Get materials out and start studying.
    5. Pick a hotspot

    See you all later.

    1. Kitchen - done (and so am I) Hopefully won't be as bad next time.
    So stopped for :coffee:
Then on to bathroom - there's just me and it's not that big.

    hi all

well as todays bathroom day can i ask for some tips

ie how to best clean an old enamel bath? lots of old marks that i am not sure are damage or just dirt??

and also how do you stop tiles smearing after you have done them? i have cleaned all the tiles but just now when i sat on the loo and looked at them they look all smudged and smeared :( why is that? what will make them look shiny?

and also what is best to use to get rid of mold and mildew in the bathroom?

i prefer natural methods rather than chemicals but if i get desperate i might have to resort to chemicals.....

so how do you all deal with these problems in the bathroom???
