    Kitchen AND bathroom today??

    thats no fair!!

Especially my bathroom is in a STATE!!!

And being in Holland I have never heard of this wonderful stardrops stuff that you all talk about!

I just got in for work. Baby is down for a nap. I'm going to change into my cleaning outfit, put my cleaning cap on (yes I wear my Atlanta Braves baseball cap when I'm cleaning. Keeps my hair out of the way and reminds me of what I'm doing!)

Anyway.. for those of you who do have a dishwashter.. Chuck the cookerracks in the DW! It works like a charm. I hate scrubbing those down so I always wash them in the DW.

    well, kitchen first...

    then dailies:

    Toilet
    fluff living room
    hoover
    load WM and Dryer
    make tea etc.

    off we go!

mumoftwo: Come on girl! Don't loose heart! Tried to call but you weren't in.
Just think of your kitchen, all lovely and shiny, with you wonderful collored items all showing off!.. :T

    Hi art

The only thing I can help you with is the water marks off tiles: I usually run a dry cloth over them after I've finished cleaning, give them a good buff-up, brings them up lovely.

I'd also like to know the answers to your other questions :D My enamel bath is a pig, and with it being council was never looked after, it has cigarette burns on it  not from me I hasten to add, I think that's why I don't like cleaning the bathroom cause it still looks awful afterwards :(

Just had to change my plans for this afternoon - the council have turned up to do the tiling in my kitchen :j how smug was I when I moved everything off the benches and it didn't look a like the contents of a bin *preens* :D I'll have to do the bathroom now to keep out of their way lol

Well I've ordered fence panels and new conservatory to replace those destroyed in gales the other Thursday. I've shined my sink - first time I've done it as per Flylady instructions so took ages - done most of my dishes - cleaned microwave and some of my kitchen surfaces.

Also taken down shower curtains in bathroom and put them in WM with mats off bathroom floor - that's all I've done towards my bathroom though.

Need to nip to town now before I go and pick DD up from school.

Those with enamel baths.. I just found the PERFECT cleaner.. the best one I have EVER used on it.. it is actually WHITE!!! (apart from those bedded in stains)

    TOOTHPASTE!!!!!

My daughter had spread some on the bath and I got out my scrubby and off I went.. I thought.. ooh this bath is coming up nice.. must be the stardrops!! Rinsed my sponge.. not very clean.. so squeezed some toothpaste on the scrubby.. lo and behold.. one twinkling bath!!!

Obviously it doesn't bring off burns or limescale.. but it is faberooney!!!!!

Anyway.. bathroom shiny (and minty!!), loo smelling sweet!

Kitchen is about 1/4 done, but I must eat and have a cuppa!

Smallfry ASKED if she could go to bed. She is coming down with a stonker of a cold by the look of her.. poor button... best get the house clean before she wants to sit on my lap for 4 days... and she always ends up with an ear infection!

and also how do you stop tiles smearing after you have done them? i have cleaned all the tiles but just now when i sat on the loo and looked at them they look all smudged and smeared :( why is that? what will make them look shiny?

and also what is best to use to get rid of mold and mildew in the bathroom?

I clean my tiles with a damp cloth and Stardrops. Then finish with a dry microfibre cloth. They come up a treat.

Mould and mildew is best removed with either the cleaner of your choice and a lot of elbow grease (an old tootbrush helps for the line between the work surface and tiles). Alternatively, bleach helps to keep it from returning.

Have chopped some Seville oranges for marmalade, and they're cooking in the Rayburn. Just waiting for my cheese croissants to warm up for lunch.

I had a friend come round unexpectedly to pick my brains over Welfare Benefits. She's the most houseproud person I know - house always immaculate, and never anything out of place. I invited her in with enthusiasm (for the first time ever) and was able to offer a caffetierre of coffee and warm blueberry muffin in my tidy, clean house

Afternoon everyone, Pigpen hope little button feels better soon, bless her, awful being poorly. I use the excess toothpaste left in the sink by my 6 year old to clean it, works a treat, good on the toilet too I have found.

I've spent 2 hours in the kitchen and it's still not done :rotfl: decided stupidly to empty and gut/clean the fridge completely, empy cupboards and resort etc. It's all spangly now of course. Must crack on with the rest of the kitchen after I post this!

lil_me.. I just took my dishwasher innards apart so I could clean all the filters and stuff too.. I've spent 2 hours in there so far and about 1/4 of the way done.. just waiting for lunch to settle and I'm away back in there again, I have until 2:30pm when I have to collect the gremlins from school.

Amuses me how into this cleaning thing we get once we actually get up and start.

My toilet is thinking I have gone loopy it has been cleaned 3 times this years.. that is 3 more than it has been cleaned since the day we moved in, 19 months ago!!
