I am so worn out after all my flinging and scrubbing I don't want to cook dinner!!!
NEED to have the mice in bed though (dd3 has her pjs on already!) so I can have some peace.. so must feed mice!
I'll do some more washing (done 4 loads today) and maybe find the sweeping brush.. I think it is in the girls room! No, I don't know why either!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Busy day everyone, well done!:j
Work this morning (digging a large section of vegetable garden on quite heavy soil...exhausted! ).
Allowed myself about 15 mins for lunch, so I could do the kitchen, then the cloakroom, then after the school run, did the bathroom!:D
Long, long day tomorrow, as on course all day, then straight home to go to DS1's parents' pm. So, I have to make a casserole tonight to go in the oven on the timer, or we don't get to eat before 9pm... Must go cook.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Argh, I've only just got home from school and already we're on over 100 messages on the new thread. I just can't keep up with you all.
Tonight I plan to:
- Arrange car insurance
- Arrange house insurance
- Set up new direct debit for credit card
- Mark 30 science books
- Mark 30 science assessments
- Make a list of what needs to be done at school this week. (Parents evening next week, you lot can be quite scary so I've a few jobs I need to get on top of!)
- Wash up after dinner (cooked already - leftovers from yesterday!)
- Put washing from airing cupboard away
Not a lot of house cleaning I know but I'm a busy girl. :rotfl:Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
Evening all :hello:
You're all doing great today...must be the relief that the weekend is over and peeps are back at work/school:rotfl:
Well I managed to get a couple of items for ebay typed up and a boxful photographed/weighed but time ran away from me and I had to stash stuff back away before DD came home and decided she wanted to keep stuff that isn't even hers
Since getting back from the school run at 3.30 I've managed to help DD write a book review for her homework (Mr Forgetful), WM on again with a load of white which have only just finished, got DD's uniform for school out (including scuff coating her shoes again ... daily job!) , bag & packed lunch made for her as well. Put a bag of potatoes in the oven for jacket potatoes for tea/freezer and eaten. now I'm just going to sit and do nothing for the rest of the night, once I've put the washing out to dry in the bedroom on airers.
:j
I wonder if I can be as efficient tomorrow? :rotfl:Night all :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Also for a while i did feel like i wasn't playing with them enough since starting this so am making sure i don't always so no cos i've got cleaning to do - i do involve them but other times they just want to play tea parties or paint!!!

Oh my gosh, look wat what you've done today!!
I know how you can feel that you've acclompished nothing, but read back your own list! Come on girl, you've been busy!
Do your little ones take naps during the day?
Or do they go to bed early at night? Maybe you can do one extra big job when the kiddies are asleep. (that's what I do! although sometimes I take advantage of the quiet to have a little break myself)
But don't be too hard on yourself!.. you've done loads!
It is hard with little children at home! it just is!

Moggins Monday Misery:
Today we will be tackling the kitchen (as many have requested)
Clean down those splashbacks, Have none.. YET they are on my 'to-buy' list
[STRIKE]remove all appliances off worktops and clean worktops thoroughly,
wipe over all appliances before replacing them.
Wipe down the fronts of fridges, freezers, washing machine and dishwashers, remove drawer from washing machine and clean it.
Clean the top and front of the cooker,
check fridge for anything that needs to be used quickly and work it into your meal plan.
Wipe down cupboard doors, shine sink [/STRIKE]and clean floor.
[STRIKE]Clean light switch[/STRIKE] and light fittings... I can't reach light fittings.. DH has to get them down for me!
[STRIKE]Clean bath, sink and toilet, clean tiles, mirrors, floor[/STRIKE]
That is my day pretty much gone.. the kitchen is bit of a bombsite!!
MY list
[STRIKE]WM's
TD's
DW
BM
Fold and put away dry stuff[/STRIKE]
Sort DS2 cupboard (he keeps putting on half mast pants!)
Remove the clothing from the back room (looks like half a job but it isn't really because I will finish the room once I've done the clothing.)
I think I may have flapped my little wings off.. dh asked me if I am ok.
He asked if he gave me a list of jobs would I them.. I said no he isn't called moggins.. besides most would just be rude!
I'm quitting for the day now... with very little rolling over to another day!!
I am going to see if I can persuade DH to sweep the kitchen floor though.. I'll just tell him I can then wash it tomorrow.. that should work!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
scaredy cat.. you've done loads.. be proud and look at your achievements.. what would you have done in one day before you joined here??
Regards toys.. I don't even try to put any away until everyone is in bed.. they only get them out again! I figure I am better off leaving them to play in their mess and getting on with something they won't undo the minute I've finished. You will find a routine that works eventually.. for now they grow way too quickly to put cleaning first! enjoy them!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
thanks Becca - its just that those jobs are the same jobs every day!!! My 2 are 3 1/2 and 19 months and dd1 goes to preschool 3 mornings a week but dd2 doesn't nap at that time anymore! dh came home so i did clean the hob and all the little bits on it and loaded the dishwasher - i also am doing a uni course and am just too tired in the eve to write essays.
dont get me wrong we have lovely days :j (how do you and pigpen manage with lots of littlies - i bet its lovely but how do you do it!!) and tomorrow we will either go to the park or the local zoo for the morning but i have this list of other things that i want to get done - they are in bed by half 7 but today dd2 woke at 4:40 and although she went back to sleep after half hour i didn't!!
oh well - whinging is over now and thanks again Becca for the reality check
pigpen thanks i wouldn't have got done half of that - i suppose i just have this image of you all having beautiful houses and serenely getting your jobs done and being super mum!!!
but suppose you can't do everything and i would rather it was cleaning that went to pot than looking after and enjoying girls - right decided zoo it is tomorrow morning and we have season tickets (bought before lbm so it will be free!) thanks0 -
