LOL @ 'lovely houses' .. shall I email you a couple of pics???

I have some corking pictures from old house before we moved and had no space... they were horrific.. I look at them sometimes just because I forget how dreadful and awful it was. .. They are bad!

Picture.. wild woman.. bare feet hair like a birds nest singing VERY loudly to anything the radio throws at her, brandishing a cloth in one hand and usually wiping a nose with the other.

thanks Becca - its just that those jobs are the same jobs every day!!! My 2 are 3 1/2 and 19 months and dd1 goes to preschool 3 mornings a week but dd2 doesn't nap at that time anymore! dh came home so i did clean the hob and all the little bits on it and loaded the dishwasher - i also am doing a uni course and am just too tired in the eve to write essays.

dont get me wrong we have lovely days :j (how do you and pigpen manage with lots of littlies - i bet its lovely but how do you do it!!) and tomorrow we will either go to the park or the local zoo for the morning but i have this list of other things that i want to get done - they are in bed by half 7 but today dd2 woke at 4:40 and although she went back to sleep after half hour i didn't!! :D

oh well - whinging is over now and thanks again Becca for the reality check

    No problem!
    :rotfl:
I have only just joined moggin's list last wednesday and my house is FAR from lovely!!! I am just starting to flap my little wings here!
    I do have 5 children but they are 16, 14, 11, 8, and 2 yrs old.

Only the youngest is home, and I work 20 hours a week. One week I work mornings, next week I work afternoon. If I work mornings, I'm a great flyer! Because when I get home, little one goes down for a nap, and that gives me almost 2 hours by myself before the rest come home.
When I work afternoon I've got little one with me in the morning as well, and I'd much rather play with her than clean my house! Although an episode of Dora gives me just enough time to mop the floor! :rotfl:

Your babys grow up so quick! Do what you can, even if it's just what we Dutchy's call: for the eye. If it looks good on the surface, you're fine! That's why they invented cabinets with DOORS! LOL!
I do a quick toy pick up, and living room fluff as soon as the little messmakers are in bed. that makes it look a lot better already! AND i've decided never to go to bed again if my kitchen ain't tidy. That brings a smile to my face in the morning and makes me feel like I can handle just about anything!

Cleaned my bath and washbasin on Saturday so just did the loo and the mirrors. Used the microfibre cloth on the taps for the first time - wow, what shininess.
Finished up own brand bathroom cleaner spray bottle and have now filled up with Stardrops solution.
Also put quilted loopaper soaked in vinegar over both basin and bath plugholes to see if it helps with the limescale.
But what a pong - am I using the right vinegar? It is clear and is labelled 'distilled malt vinegar'. I got it from Morrisons.
How long should I leave it on?
Update on supposed hangover - found out today I have actually caught a colleague's infected throat and cough. Drank LemSip and coughed noisily, no sympathy obtained.

I am all done for the day and ready for bed now,.. uniforms on the sofa.. just need to locate undies.. nice easy task.. takes about 2 minutes.

Wash loads 7 & 8 in now.. I ended up cleaning the jets int he WM drawer as 3 were blocked so the powder was not being used it was just sitting in the drawer solidifying.. all sorted now.. and I didn't even need a man!

    Hello everyone,

Pleased with what ive done today, even tho i havnt managed all of moggins list.
So, bathroom, toilets, living room and kitchen all cleaned and downstairs hoovered. Oven cleaned, and DW has been on twice, and all dishes have been put away - used WM last night, so just waiting for those bits to dry, then can fold and put away and packed lunches made. Also managed to sort the HUGE hot spot that was my 'childminding' corner - looking really tidy there now, been putting that hot spot off for a while now.
Only things i didnt do was the kitchen floor and actually move all the appliances when i wiped down - but those will def be done tomorrow, not sure what moggins has planned yet, but if its living room or bathroom i know i did them today, so will have time to do the bits in the kitchen i didnt do today.
Right, off for a rest, take care eveyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Just for Scaredy Cat
Mother, of Mother, come shake out your cloth
empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
hang out the washing and butter the bread,
sew on a button and make up a bed.

Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.

Oh, I've grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue
    (lullaby, rockabye, lullaby loo).
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
    (pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo).

The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew
and out in the yard there's a hullabaloo
but I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo.
Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue?
    (lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).

The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
for children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
