If you have a slow cooker you could google for recipes for 'apple butter' - an american food, I made it once when I was given a glut of apples, originally planned to jar it and give away as presents but it was so popular it all got scoffed by teen daughters and their friends!
If you are on WW you could also turn some of it into apple sauce and freeze it, a lot of low fat baking recipes use apple sauce instead of oil or shortening. No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0 -

Cakes and breads with apple as a base are good.
Chutney's are great. I think there's a relish with Chili that Marguerite Patten did a good recipie for in Cookery in Colour - though it's probably out on the web too. And of course Christmas Chutneys.
Pot Roast pork with apples?
If you're planning on cooking with them cook them down in a batch. And remember, they're high in pectin so if you were to make a mixed fruit jam, they're a good base.
I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...
I moved to Liverpool for a better life.

Oh sounds lovely - I have found this pretty simple recipe for Apple Chutney http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/spicedapplechutney_7720 & this one too http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2646/classic-apple-chutney
Think I will make this as it says it goes nice with Cheese (so I am thinking I could give a little homemade hamper of cheese & chutney), it also goes nice with Ham / Pork Crackling Joint, so I can maybe indulge myself in a little jar for Xmas day... as we always have Pork (and Gammon Ham for tea time). MMM :T
I was telling my Mum and she said she'd love the Apple and Ginger Jam, so just need to google a recipe for that now. Any recommendations?0 -
