Wow, I can't believe that they have been that blatant, normally companies like this are coy with what they say so they leave it to your interpretation to find the wrong conclusion, but this company seems to just blatantly lie, surely they cant believe their own spielHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

I certainly will. I've made one copy and will send to the address at the IS that Fermi provided, I'll have to look up the others but will definitely do the same for them.0

The porkie pies are quite outstanding aren't they?
You suspect that, as this seems to be a one man band, they are not expecting their business to be around for too long?
i.e. they aim to rake in as much as possible before the business goes ***s up or gets closed down, and so are not overly bothered about the methods they use and their consequences?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

They appear to be a sole trader though, as no limited company details on letterhead or the website. They haven't really thought it through, they're going to be personally liable when the IS chases them for the money.0 -

True.
Would they be liable for just the fees they had earned from these illegal claims?
Or would they be liable for the whole value?
I have a feeling that the people they have duped would be forced to repay.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Suspect it would be just the fees - a nice 35% (never had a loan so no chance of mis-sold ppi for me so not followed it all too closely, but I thought it could be reclaimed for free following advice on this site - for people who can claim anyway)
It's going to be a very bad situation for those people who have believed this company and had money paid to them in error. IS might not pursue a few hunded pounds, but they will go after higher amounts.0 -
I know its a long time since I posted but thought I'd just add to this thread. I got phoned today by a PPI company who weren't put off by the BR bit when I told them! They then proceeded to tell me they were the only company specialising in PPI repayments for people who were BR (discharged). He came up with some very official sounding figures and seemed to know his stuff but thought I'd come and check on here as I trust here! :-) When he phones me back next week, think I'll have the first post in this thread open in front of me and quote it!! I wouldn't mind but the only PPI I did have actually paid out after I'd been made redundant so I wouldn't want to claim it back anyway!BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500

Could well be, they're sending me a pack so I'll keep it and may well send it on to the Ombudsman as was mentioned in the thread.BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500 -
Do that.
Send a copy to the Insolvency Service, the Ministry of Justice etc if you can.
