Anybody heard or had dealings with this shower? Claim Advice Service for discharged bankrupts, letter went in the shredder claim to be registered by the ministry of justice with a website noted https://www.claimsregulation.gov.uk
Now we all know that we can't get any money back from br but they imply we can, also the letter is addressed to the both of us. They have no company reg number but they do have a MJ number CRM15562. they claim to have sent us a letter in October which we have not responded to? no letter came here! Now the question is what do I do about it? do I write back and tell them to remove my details or do I ignore it?

Sounds like a load of nonsense to me. I had some similar ones during my br. Personally I'd just shred them.0

Any letters like this that are received, it's well worth forwarding them to the Financial Ombudsman. I did and received a grateful reply.
If everyone just bins the letters then no evidence is gathered and no case can be brought against such companies to prevent them pulling one over on the vulnerable. Here's a thread about a similar company from earlier this year. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Good point. *hangs head in embarrassed apathy*0 -
I would guess that it's actually something to do with reclaiming PPI, mis-sold credit etc...
If it is then ignore them or report them to the OFT and MoJ.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thank you, I have looked at the ministry of justice website ( the website is a gov website) but the Ministry of Justice has nothing to do with BRs, so I am going to phone the MOJ in the morning and forward the details to them, I will keep you postedIf you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j0

They are not registered at Companies House and do appear to be jumping on the claims for PPI and mis-sold credit, they have a website simply credit claims it is not on the letter they sent us, good old google works every timeIf you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j0 -
Whoops! Made the wrong connection there, missed the 'post discharge' bit thinking it was 'post BR'.
Good luck with reporting them and do let us know the results. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

OK, I have spoken to MOJ, they are going to call me back either today or Monday. This company is registered but appear to have two registration numbers so are trading under the same name but with two CRM numbers (why would they need two?) I have explained to MOJ that if any money was due back via the PPI reclaim that it would not benefit anybody who was made BR but pre BR would be claimed by the OR. Fees would i assume be payable which would have to be paid by the ex br which is misleading and wrong. I will keep you postedIf you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j0

Big shame you didn't keep the first letter, as that one doesn't tell you much.
Without it can only make guesses based on that and what their "normal" business appears to be from their website.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
