Silly PPC making silly rules. Did this company not be called "Anchor" previously?

Thanks will ignore. Mind 100% at rest now, thanks everyone :D The company who ticketed Perry Barr One stop before this one were called Central ticketing as I found a few articles about them including a disabled guy who parked outside the same argos:

Totally different scenarios. You don't invite a burglar in to make use of your home first.. at least not knowingly.

PPCs tend to invite people in to park. Thats the first major difference so your comparison doesn't really work.

I do see what you're trying to say though but at the end of the day, RK liability is a BAD thing. How many more times must I say this?
Any householder has a right to expect others to act lawfully. The fact that a burglar exploits their inattention/whatever does not infer that they have any responsibility. By the same token motorists in reciept of something that appears to them to be a legitimate charge has a right to expect that the issuers of the charge do not misprepresent their authority or the law. That they pay, believing the charge to be absolutely unavoidable, does not in anyway excuse the actions of the issuer.

I do apologise if the analogy was not explained. The scenarios may be different but the attendant morals differ not one jot.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

I've just noticed the front of the envelope it was sent in says ANCHOR group services so you are right.
  • I have just been to One Stop Shopping Centre in Perry Barr. Got back to my car to find a parking ticket from Care Parking, stating I was Not Parked Wholly Within Bay. It states the fine is £90 or if paid within 14 days £65. Do I have to pay this? Ticket states if I don`t they will contact the DVLA for my details resulting in further admin charges, then details will be passed on to debt recovery agents. Increasing the costs even more.

I have read about companies charging large sums like above but that unless its council you do not have to pay them. Is this true Please? Any help and advice will be very much appreciated.

Court cases are very very rare. Of those which do make it to court the vast majority are lost by the parking companies.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Do not ignore a private parking ticket - from 2013 onwards things changed in England/Wales. If yours is Parking Eye then they are suing people and so are some other PPCs.

You must appeal and with current forum advice, you will win at popla - we win 100% of appeals in 2014.

Please click to page one of the forum, get off this old thread. See my signature below for where to click to read current advice. Please read the NEWBIES thread at the top of this very forum.

Did I say STOP reading this ancient thread, NOW??!!

And anyway, stopping to get out and close your boot is not parking.
  • Thank you all very much for your replies, and advice. Very much appreciated as the wording on the ticket does make you feel you have to pay it.
I will look at the threads as advised.
