Mine went from empty box shipped and now it's showing as product replacement pending.

Hopefully not much longer until the replacement is shipped out

After having the idea that i could buy some old 1st ones off ebay and just have them replaced for a spanking new 6th Gen one (hope this is alright to do!), i've happily just lucked out and picked up a couple off there for £10 each for me and the OH...! :D

Now i am i right in saying i just put the seriel no into here: https://supportform.apple.com/201110/ and i'll send it off and it'll be replaced within 6 weeks? with progress trackable online?

Thanks guys, and thanks to OP

Yeah just register the serial number for each iPod on the support page and then apple will sen out the bags for you to return the iPods on the replacement scheme. Please note that apple will send a bag out for each iPod you return and they may not turn up on the same day.

Just package the iPod up with the jiffy bag and send it from the post office and remember to obtain proof of postage. I decided to pay 70p and get it recorded due to the fact I've had a few things go missing in the post recently

Just wondering, were the ones you bought off ebay from the UK, as i've seen a couple for around £10 on Ebay from other countries, but not sure if they will actually be legit or not!

Yes ebay UK, just someones crappy 2nd hand ones lol, seller is in England, listed in sterling, using 1st class rec post i think

PS slowen: Yes, i ALWAYS use recorded, and its very good advice for the sake of 70 odd pence! Too many times do things go 'missing' now a days...

Thank you one again for your help and confirmation slowen :)

Always better paying the little bit extra to make sure something is received at the other end as I've had a few things in the past that's gone missing but more likely knicked so prefer to pay the little extra

Might keep my eye out for a cheap second hand one for my mum as the nano I sent off was my old one I gave my mum since I got a 80gb classic but will use the new nano in the gym so be ideal to get another one
