I got my 6th Gen one a few days ago, I love the fact it has got a radio on it...............but.............the battery is dreadful. I used to fall asleep with my original one and it would still be going strong in the morning and for a few days thereafter. If I fall asleep with this one, the battery runs out sometime during the night.

    Anyone else finding the same?

Received mine earlier this week ... loaded it with songs tonight and the volume is utter trash , can hear the TV with it all full volume and the telly isn't turned up much :( Thinking of sending this back.

that will be the EU law preventing excessive volume limits, you might have trashed your hearing already as I find the volume limit on the 6th gen perfectly loud enough, that or you are using rubbish headphones that are not noise isolating.

give it a rundown then a full charge a rundown and then a 2nd full charge see if that fixes it, the battery life quoted at 24hrs so should be much better than the old one.

You are probably right about the earphones , i'm using Apple ones :rotfl:

Can't agree with you on the hearing if i can hear my telly while listening to a direct feed into my ears from the Ipod.

When will they extend this recall to Itouch? Cannot charge mine as the battery gets really hot, so hot you can't hold the thing. Typical apple rubbish it broke just outside of the guarantee.

Thats what I have done it cost me £25

Really miss my little ipod was borrowed and never given back. So if I get a 6th gen one it will be great :D

But don't you run the risk of getting one that isn't between the time frames of September '05 - December '06?

It was a small risk but it has worked out ok for me twice now as my dad wants one so had to get another one from ebay.
