Free new ipod nano - If you have a 1st Gen Nano!

Just found my 2G 1st gen Nano. Have just submitted a request to Apple for a replacement.
Will now see how long this process will take and what I end up with. Will also note what people are receiving on this thread.
Thanks to OP and all other info I have read.

Not sure my son did the replacement will ask him to look when he gets home from work and report back.

My brother lives over in France and has just had confirmation that his replacement nano has been shipped today. Apparently they provide the serial code with the email and upon checking this he has seen it is 6th generation. Hopefully this happens in the UK as well.

Mine says 9th December Product Replacement Pending too. It has been like that for weeks now, I sent it off on about the 18th November.

Seems like quite a few of us are in the same boat with the same dates. To be fair they did say 4-6 weeks turnaround and it is only just coming up to 4 weeks from the 9th Dec. I'm just so curious though! And I miss my music!

I'd be definitely interested to hear if anything did change on your status Sadie.

I think we have to allow for the xmas & new year holidays as well.

Mine says Nov 22nd and pending. Hubby's says 9th Dec pending....But has just arrived...8GB 6th Gen..:T

Know how you feel....DH & 2 x daughters all say product replacement pending as of 15th Dec (posted back 16th Nov) but mine still says empty box shipped! Can't believe that 1 out of 4 didn't arrive when they were all shipped on same day but quite worried something has happened to mine and I won't get a replacement (of any type!). Tried chasing it up last week only to reach point on automated phone that empty box had been shipped and to speak to someone was going to cost me £25 service charge:eek:

January 4th 2012: Replacement product shipped
Shipped via UPS with tracking number xxxxxxxx

Also my son received an email with the relevant details.
