Did your information change on the service status page with Apple?

I believe holding the home button (circle) and power button at the top of an iPad will screenshot, you'd then need to upload the pic to photobucket etc

The status changed to the above. I just can't work out how to upload from iPad to photo bucket to upload a photo.

Reading on forums they were replacing 1st Gen units with refurbed 1st Gen ones but ran out of refurbed units so started sending out the ones they had.

Dont really care if you dont believe me but here is a pic i took yesterday you will need to remove the spaces from the link as the forum wont let a newbie post a proper link

Apple are replacing iPods, not just the batteries. Even Apple support page states that clearly here.

Many US-based Apple customers got brand new 1st gen replacment Nanos very quickly (new unit, new serial number), even within a week of sending the old one back. Then there were almost no replacements sent for about a fortnight, and later people started getting 6th gen Nanos.

Thanks. Mine says service requested 17th November and then all the other status is 14th December down to product replacement pending.

You should hopefully get yours any day, my service was requested 15th November, other updates say 15th December, Return only updated yesterday and it was delivered this morning.

With any luck you might get yours tomorrow.

Does anybody have a contact email address for Apple? I'm moving soon, so will need to give them my new address, otherwise my iPod Nano will be sent to my old address
