Oh i hate some of the other boards on this site, the people are so nasty sometimes in reply to threads.
I wish everyone was like us on the os board!!:D
Sorry moan over!!
Hope you are all having a good afternoon !!Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
Afternoon all! And ((((HUGS)))) to everyone who needs one.
No church for me today - been doing too much this week and everything hurts. Saw the doc on Friday and she's given me some different painkillers to try. So I'm hoping they have a cumulative effect!
Mind you, one of the things I did this week was to have lunch with Churchmouse on Thursday so it's worth a few aches for that, we both enjoyed it.:D
Bought some chicken quarters at Mr T's on Friday so I think they'll do nicely for today's dinner. If DS won't be here at dinner time, he can have his chicken cold later. He's hiding in his room atm, possibly so I won't ask him if he's written to his creditors yet  (he had a DMP but it collapsed when he lost his job). He needn't worry, I'm fed up with trying to get him to do it so he can just get on with it himself.
Been thinking of Penny_pincher - hope she's enjoying her time in Rye.
Hope everyone is having a good afternoon!
Best wishes

dlb - had to laugh about the hacking off of the bone. I 'lambed out'!! at Christmas and did my leg of lamb in the oven as it wouldn't fit in my 10 year old round Russell Hobbs sc. That accident sounds rather nasty. We are going to watch Top Gear tonight as the Hamster is back - how did he survive that!
Best wishes to those little ones who did well with their sport today, commiserations to those who were disappointed. Remember, taking part is the main thing!
Well, here we are post 3.00 pm and I am still in what we call up here 'the goonie' - no point in getting dressed now. DH only got dressed just before football on BBC1!
Up sharp this morning to put beef joint (big one cut in half) in slow cooker, then hung out washing. DH and I did soup together this morning as I couldn't find the idiot's guide I had typed out (oops I mean the reciepe I wrote out for DH)! However, it was nice to do together. I will go down and blast shortly. Also did DH's hair with the clippers so he is looking a bit more dapper now, MIL phoned this morning - still not the best of health since Christmas with a chesty thing but as she said - I don't stay in!! She is 87 and is wonderful. Our kids nickname her 'Granny never in' as they can never get her on the phone. She loves going to the Legion, the Guild and her cribbage evenings. She admitted to 6 brandies at the Legion last night!!!!!!!!! She is wonderful and I love her to to bits.
DD feeling better today according to SIL. She is not going to work tonight or tomorrow (or maybe even Wednesday) as she needs to get back on her feet. A wee bit worried about her as now 16 plus weeks with No 3 and she is losing weight due to being so sick and now this flu type thing. SIL in a panic this morning - DGS1 went to bed at 7.30 last night and when still not awake at 10.30 this morning thought drastic action required. I hope the wee fellow not falling for something. Seemingly SIL went in several times to check he was breathing! Sorry Kyle - I am not rubbing it in. Some kids just do the sleeping things better than others - a bit of a lottery. I remember when DD did sleep training thing with DGS1 - I was horrified but to be honest it worked! They nearly cracked but really felt it was the right thing to do by persevering.
Actually I remember when DS slept through the night for the first time I woke in shock at about 7.00 and belted along the landing to check he was OK. That was in the days baby's had their own rooms from Day 1!
Anyway, love and hugs to you all. Will be keeping any eye on you!
Valentine - how are you?
Love and hugs

N9eav - just loved your 25. Can relate to quite a few! No 25 sits quite well with me!
Just had an e-mail from DS's partner. They are looking into internet phones. My friend communicates with her DS, DIL and GS in Japan via Skype. Do any of you lot do this? Would welcome advice as we would sign up as DS is in Eire.

Good afternoon everyone,
Back from DSs footie math, they won 5 - 0 and DS scored the first goal (and it was a cracker, even i could see that!!!) so a good weekend for us footie wise as well as DLB. Have just made the pizza (with stuffed crust) so hoping that it will turn out nice, its looking and smelling lovely.
Need to go and hoover upstairs in a minute, did the cleaning before going out, then im having a nice hot bath with lots of bubbles and a good book.
We are also looking forward to top gear tonight - think they will be showing the accident, not sure i want to see it, but will see what they have to say first.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Good afternoon, I don't think I've ever posted on here before.
Thinking of typing out No.12 of the "rules" in the opening post and putting through neighbour's letterbox. Maybe not.....
I'm really cold today, just had a bath and got into my dressing gown. Finally got my feet warm.0 -
Afternoon. Hope everyone's day is going well. Congrats to those of you who won your footies matches.
Having got up earlish this morning (later than I do during the week so sort of a lie in), I ended up crawling back into bed around 9.30 for a cuddle with the BF, woke him up, so he got up and then fell asleep until midday !! I think I must have needed the sleep.
Been busy since then. Spent an hour counting the birds in the garden for the RSPB Garden Watch. Ended up with 15 house sparrows at the same time. At the same time as counting birds I managed to empty the DW, peel the potatos and make nut roast for dinner. The washing is now done, shopping done, just needed a few bits for the next couple of days and then a big shop come payday, vacuuming done and kitchen floor finally cleaned. The house is looking great.
Normally I spend sundays channel surfing on the tv looking for something to watch. Other than about 15 minutes while I ate breakfast I haven't been near the TV all day and it feels so much better to have actually acheived something.
Kitchen floor should be dry now, time to go boil the potatoes for roasties.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0
