Nels - just make sure your PJ's are ironed and wear heels and Chanel lippy. No-one will notice...... but even if they do, I wonder if anyone would say anything :rotfl:

SC on, egg and bacon butty eaten, more tea being drunk and DS2 dressed. Best get that pressie wrapped and dress myself - my PJ's are far too old to go to a 5yo's birthday in .... and anyway, it's far too cold and windy out there

    Hello all,

Have been at a friends in Cambridge this week, so haven't been able to get on. Hope you're all alright :) Sidenote: I :heart2: Cambridge. My kinda city.

Plans for today - got a couple of washloads to do, one of them is currently just about to finish. Got to finish my menu plan, draw up a shopping list and possibly go shopping. Aside from that I need to sit down at some point and draw up a budget (ready for the February resolution).

    Breakfast: Toast
    Lunch: Sandwich
Dinner: If I go shopping, roast chicken

    Afternoon everyone1
Just back in from ds1 footy match they won 5-1 and ds scored 2!!:D
Had to go on detour on way there as there has just been a bad accident on way to the match we luckly missed it by minutes, the police had blocked the road off by the time we returned and helecopters everywhere, so doesnt look good.I hope everyone was ok.

My butchered leg of lamb cooking away nicely, i love coming in from the cold muddy footy field to the smells of the slow cooker.Just had a quick hoover up in living room, and ds1 and 2 who is now back from his sleep over are about to play a board game.

Hope we are all having a good day

Just sorting out my shopping list - am tempted to buy some chicken thighs - does anyone have any good recipes? Or can I just bone them (how??) and use them instead of chicken breast?

Awww, I live in Cambridge, it's nice isn't it :)

Edit: I use chicken thigh as you do breasts :), not sure about boning them but they are nice just roasted in the oven with some salt and pepper and dried thyme on the top.

    Hi everyone.
We went to church this morning and we had loads of kids in sunday school, all 33 of them and they are quite lively!

So I'm hoping to have a 'doing stuff around the house' sort of day. I've made a list which includes ironing, cooking a chilli, baking a cake, making packed lunches, washing bedding, school planning, writing lists for menu plan and shopping, oh and general tidying up. So quite a busy day planned, although I do keep popping on ebay to see how my sales are! Ebay has become a new addiction for me and it's catching as my DD1 keeps bringing things from her bedroom asking me if I could sell it for her! :rotfl: (Just like her mother)

N9eav I really like your Secrets list. It's so easy to forget just what is really important in life. ;)

cattie1 Your list made me chuckle and reminded me of the funny questions asked my some of my pupils! :rotfl:

    Afternoon all.

Quiet day today. Just getting organised for the week ahead. Plan to do some baking with the girls this afternoon but packing them off for a walk with OH first so I can whizz round the house. Working in shop every day this week so batch cooked the whole weeks meals yesterday:D Yesterday's chicken boiled for stock and yogi maker on. Uniforms still to do.
Am I the only one who quite likes Monday's when I have the house to myself again? Or am I just a really bad wife and mum?:o
    Have a great Sunday

    Haribo x
