Good morning everyone!
Thanks n9eav for the 25 secrets - a great start to the day. I particularly liked the one which said, if you give your children everything material you deprive them of aspiration - so true. Love, time and attention are really what kids need and treasure when they look back later in life - so says this adult kid..... Everyone has a different idea of what 'enough' is materially - but as a child you can never have enough love, cuddles and opportunities for happy memories.
I haven't managed to post all week. How ironic is it that I am up so early on a Sunday, with all the time in the world, but during the week, the need to get the show on the road means I haven't the time to log on? I admire those of you who do manage it - my multi-tasking skills clearly are not in the same league!!
Today I'll be preparing space in my kitchen in readiness for my new lodger, who moves in on 1st February. Also, I'll continue the ongoing tackling of the paper mountain - started last weekend. Re the lodger, I'm looking forward to the company, and will have to remember to lock the bathroom door again! to save the poor girl's blushes
Hugs to the poorlies and happy birthday / anniversary to anyone who has a significant day today. I dreamt last night of my father, who died two years ago yesterday. I like to think it was his way of letting me know he's doing fine. I often talk to my loved ones who have moved on, and it is a great joy and comfort. This includes my cats who are no longer here - still part of my spiritual family!
Have a very good day and a happy one, creating good memories to look back on and enjoy. We think our lives are ordinary, but the ordinary everyday is precious treasure!

Morning everyone
Thanks for all of the birthday wishes for dd yesterday, she had a lovely time
A nice lazy day planned for today. Ds is off to a party at lunch time so I will take him there and OH can pick him up. I'm going to make some bits for lunches this week (savoury muffins and banana bread methinks) as well as menu plan. Wahing and ironing needs to be done and then I am going to have a nice glass of wine and watch the Big brother final. I hope Jermaine wins but it doesn't look likely.
Have a lovely day0 -
Hello everybody........Well today i intend to carry on with my de-cluttering,washing ,and do something for dinner. My sister didnt manage to get here yesterday ,so is coming today hopefully.
groatie queen, the exact same thing happened to me this week, I dreamt of my mum, who passed nearly 3 years ago.I felt like i had actually met her again. I was hoping the dream would continue the next night but it didnt.I still find myself talking to her when something significant happens.
I stilll dont have my car back so will have to think of some activities to do outside with the children and i might even catch the bus to town today just to get out for a short while. I do need extra strong black bags for my decluttering mission.
I am waffling now so will love you and leave you, hugs to sad or unwell people or anyone that needs one. Have a good day,Love Elaine x“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -
Morning :hello:
I'm just sitting here with a cuppa, putting off getting dressed and ready for church
Tasks for today:
Church choir practice at 10
Service at 11
Hope to find somewhere that sells inexpensive office supplies (any ideas?) I need some A4 hanging files for my new filing cabinet so I can sort out and put away a mountain of disorganised paperwork
Work out meals for next couple of days
Find favourite cookbook - it's been missing sincce I moved house but then again there are a few boxes still not unpacked
Do a search on the internet for some chairs to go with my new table (if I can't find anything at a good price I will trawl the local second hand furniture places.
Normally I go grocery bargainhunting on Sunday afternoons but not sure I can today, as my freezer is full to bursting (so much that I can't even find space to put an ice cube tray in!) So what I might do is if I happen to be passing a likely bargain sourceI will have a look and see if they just have something I can cook with TODAY.
Hope all are well (look after yourself Topher with that cough)

hugs to all who need them good luck to all those playing footie hope those with coughs and colds feel a little better today and for all those i have missed out inbetween have a good day0 -
Good morning everyone,
Will be quite a busy day here - ive already emptied the DW and wiped the kitchen down, and ive also just done next weeks meal plan, all before i had had my cuppa!
DS has a footie match this afternoon, he did well yesterday, his team won 3 -1 and DS scored the first goal, so a good start back for him.
Also need to do some cleaning upstairs, which i will start in a minute, that way when we get back from footie, i can have a sit down. Not doing a roast today, will have that tomorrow (normally our Sunday lunch, but DS cant play football after eating a big meal) so will be making pizza - and i think it was Kaz the other day who made a stuffed crust, and i might have a go at that myself!
Right, need to get moving - thanks for the 25 quotes, i agree with them all.
Have a lovely day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0
