    Morning everyone,

Well I've just caught up on what I've missed (which took me a while lol).

Since joining, I feel like im obsessed with not spending money. Ok Ive still been buying my fags everyday, but yesterday I realised I've got that bad I really didnt want to buy my food shopping or even put petrol in my car!!!!! hahahaha. but i was very near to not gettin off the supermarket carpark due having no petrol in the car and would have been starving in I didnt buy food lol. I even stopped myself buying things that had gone up in price!!!

My sealed pot is also full!!! so going to count whats in there later and pay that off a debt tomorrow.

Oh one last thing, dont now if anyone on here would be able to help me, but Ive been thinking about my debt and to be honest a lot of it is about 4/5 years old! Do you think its a good idea to contact the debters and ask if they would give me a lower pay now figure. if that makes sense. so that if they give me a smaller total to pay asap it would lower my debt and I could pay it off quicker seens as the debts so old. OR would this still leave outstanding debt on my credit record :undecided.

Well I'm off to clean up, do my new excercise dvds (cost me under £10 for 2 brand new, and with postage from amazon) :D, Put items on ebay and then go for lunch at moms.

Snap! I'ts got to the point where if I have to pay anything it's like it physically hurts & I wince at the thought! lol

You can always try with the companies to see if they'll take a lower settlement figure. In my experience though unless you are in arrears and it's gone to a dca, they won't agree. Always worth a go though, they can only say no :)

Well alot of my debt is, as I say 4/5 years old and due to moving I havent heard from any of the debt agencies for over a year. I just need it gone so I can move on.

Lol i found myself not getting a lot of things yest because they had gone up by 23p etc hahahaha. My mom thought I had gone mad!

Hi All - it's taken a while for me to catch up (this thread is soooo fast moving!! :)) but i think I'm there now....phew!!!!

Well done to everyone who's made progress over the last few weeks, the determination to succeed comes through in bucket loads. Like many of you my payday isn't till the end of the month but I won't be updating my balances until my CC statements come through with the interest charges added...getting so impatient ;)

It's nearly the end of November so not long till I can tie up my monthly budget sheet and see how much I have left to over pay on the debts (and get the 100 day challenge off to a good start!!) I've been putting money away this year to cover Christmas so hoping my budget withstands the 'actuals' and that it will all be covered by my 'Xmas nest egg'

393 days = £37.59 a day (including interest) _pale_....blimey that's scary!!! But my cup is half full.......and the thought of being £37.59 a day better off once the debt is paid is terribly appealing ;)

    Have a great Sunday everyone

    May xx

Oh no Loubie! I feel your pain... Will you get any money for Xmas that may be able to go against your debt? I'm sacrificing my usual christmas gluttony of pressies so I can reach my target of getting rid of my debt by asking people to give me money (in coins as I will spend notes far more easily and the coins can just go straight in my SPC tub) instead of xmas pressies. I'm 30 and earn a decent salary so for me, I don't NEED anything but I do NEED to pay off this debt... Next year though may be a very different story... and I'll buy myself oodles of pressies out of my own money!!!!! :j:j:j

Thank you for welcoming me to the team! :) Really looking forward to getting stuck in and getting this debt gone. (Tomorrow won't help though :( I won a private screening of 50/50 in london but it's a £30 train ticket! Ah well, it's been a while since I've been to London and I won't spend anything else ~ promise! .... if anyone wants to come along, let me know and I'll give you details. It's for 30 people and there's only 3 of us going HAHA!)
