Otherwise to him it isn't worth it! Just have to carefully dripfeed him good news when you get lots paid off and how good it feels
My other half is exactly the same! Perfect example was tonight when I made an apple crumble but totally forgot we'd run out of custard. Popped to the shop and he came back with 2x 85p sachets of the most expensive stuff when I normally buy the cheapest (ok it is illuminous yellow but all looks the same in your tummy - my reasoning anyway).. I was horrified!! and he didn't quite get what 'all the fuss was about'
Moral of the story is make sure there's enough custard when you make a pud!DF by Christmas 2014 #116 | £435 / £2931.070 -

Mf0u got an answer re PPI seems that they can reapply on the loan to cancel PPI as I have nearly finished the loan, as advised I am now definately putting in a claim for miss sold PPI, on the plus side a nsd, think the MSE ways are rubbing off on the OH as we went shopping and for the first time he didn't spend anything!! He seemed shocked when he got home!!!:rotfl:March GC £27.86/£3500

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but as you all seem like friendly people I thought I'd give it a go -
OH is being v supportive of me trying to get rid of my debt, but he has around £2k of debt (overdraft) himself which he only makes minimum payments on. How can I convince him to have a 'lightbulb moment' and join me on the DFW journey? Or should I even try? Is it just something I have to let him figure out on his own?
Well done to everyone who has made payments so far btw, roll on payday for me so I can make a start!
Hiya Pie, I agree that maybe the best way for him to get his LBM is for him to see you paying your debts off and how that makes you feel. I don't think you can make him have his LBM and he'd probably just see it as nagging! Just let him watch the changes in you and i'm sure as you get closer to being debt free that he'll want to be too! xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

£3.92 overpayment to my Lloyds CC - not able to update total paid off debt until all monthly statements/balances come through but hope it's ok to log my little payments as I go along to keep me motivated?
Feel like i'm now officially on my way0 -

Any amounts that you can pay off is brilliant so well done and no worries on getting the total on here until after you get your statements. I love the fact that you're still posting on what you're paying off anyway as it keeps us ALL motivated. Superb start! :j xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

I know it's naughty and shouldn't be spending but I made £20 from Quidco today!
£5 for a mobile I bought and £15 for a new lovefilm subscription that I've taken out. I do get a bit lonely and bored in my job sometimes so it's a little pick me up AND it's only a few quid a month.
The last thing to buy this month now is a few more pressies and some car breakdown cover (all through quidco of course!) :money:
Edit: Also started my £2 savers and my sealed and shrapnel pot. All 50p and £1 go in the sealed and anything less in my massive coke bottle (still to count!!!)
Love it!In debt no more!0
