I keep trying to get the thought out of my head that i'm only going to be able to manage to pay off 10k but even if i do it's a mega step from a girl who only 4 years ago had her head so deep in the sand and had racked up 7 yes 7! defaults and one CCJ. Thank heavens i am half way through them and paying them off.
Hope Saturday is treating you well:D:D:D

Oh Loubie, you've come so far!!! :T:T:T xxx
Just a little:D If i still had my stupid attitude with money now as I did back then. My debt would probably be double what it is now!
Like with so many others it so wasn't worse getting into debt. I reckon I probably spent half the debt money in the pub!:eek::eek:In debt no more!0 -
I'm off out now for house party/drinking session eep. Let's see how well my MSE'ing ways stand the test of alcoholDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Hi everyone!
When you are wanting to update your totals because you've paid off some of your debt then can you please put the total you have managed to pay off against the original amount of the challenge... like in the post below:rubywhatashmoo wrote: »Sooooo I just paid off what my spreadsheet told me I can definitely afford and will hope to top it up further through the month (doesn't seem too likely this close to xmas but we shall see!!)
£150/£1550
If rubywhatashmoo were to pay off a further £200 next week then her to total would read:
£350/£1550
This will make it easier to pick up everyone's totals as this thread is very fast moving and I don't want to miss anyone's totals!!!
If I do, or get something wrong, then please just give me a nudge xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

I had a horrid dream last night that a creditor got in touch saying that I owed them £3k. It had been a £500 final payment due on a loan but i hadn't realised that it hadn't been paid and for years they had been sending payment demands to a different name/address, with interest accumulating along the way. They wouldn't waive this and my credit rating was wreaked...
At least it was only a dream. *sob*
I also have to confess to having a take-away last night - not very DFW appropriate. I am going to try for NSDs starting in December. Maybe the dream was out of guilt for spending £25 on the take-away? Rubbish.
Anyway, must stop wasting board space with my ramblings and start selling things on ebay (free listings weekend!)
Happy Saturday to you all

Hi Helenpie,
I'm more than happy to read somebody's ramblings, you're still on topic as it's to do with NOT spending money which is one way of reducing debts
I don't know when the last time was that I enjoyed a Chinese takeaway, I always seem to get buyer's remorse afterwards, which isn't always such a bad thing :rotfl:Actually anticipating buyer's remorse stops me buying a lot of things!!0
