Thank you mf0u1098:A
Are you planning on keeping a log of the payments or amounts cleared. It'll be a heck of a job if you do. How do you want people to post if you are?
Absolutely loving all the energy and enthusiasm on this thread :T
Hi Banwa, very good question! If people can just update on their post what their new total is then I can update their paid off total on the 2nd post. I agree it would be a mammoth job to try and keep track of all the payments made! I never for one minute dreamed that we'd have so many members. It's fantastic the reponse! I think it's going to be funny when everyone starts posting their new totals on payday! I'll be busy but in a good way!!! :rotfl:New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Why doesn't everyone put it in their signature? This will help you keep track... so something like £10/£1000?
It's a good idea but people would still need to post in order for me to see their totals. The thing we are all going to have to agree on is whether we are going to count up or down? i.e. £10/£1000 or [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE]/£990 IYSWIM so it's easy for me to collate. Is it more motivational for people to see the debt coming down or the total going up...? Shall we ask the members for a vote?
Glad you're both helping me out on the logistics!!! :T:T:TNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

I like the idea of counting up, otherwise the signature gets too big and cluttered. How about we give a monthly update with a grand total in December? This is definitely my favourite challenge though, nice one for sorting it for us.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Updating the totals will be an awesome feeling for you, even though it'll be really hard work! Just know that we will appreciate seeing everyone's progress in one place on the second post. A grand total each time you update would also allow us to see the total progress we're all making and spur us on even more to add to that total!
Thank you again for doing this, it has really helped fire me up for the challenge ahead.DFBX2013: 021 :j seriousDFW £0 [STRIKE] £3,374[/STRIKE] 100% Paid off

No worries! I'm happy with the counting up bit but I'd still like everyone to be able to update their totals by posting as many times as they like during the month so that they keep themselves and others motivated rather than once a month. It could be anything from £2 coins banked to Ebay sales to paying off the normal direct debits. Whenever they pay anything off then I think it would be good for them to be able to post to let everyone know!New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

My pleasure seriousDFW! I have to admit that I cannot wait to start updating people's totals and get the ball properly rolling. I'm sure we'll sort out all these logistics issues soon enough once we get into the swing of things. In the meantime I am open to any suggestions, I especially like the grand total idea. I also like the weekly update on one of the other challenges with a list of the members who have updated that week xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

I appreciate the kind words folks - In that case I will join the cause!
Please put me down to join the challenge, as you can see from my sig I have £15,626.32 to clear.
If I manage to do it, that means I've completed it in about 1/3 of the time I gave myself to do it - certainly a challenge.
Following a few diaries already of people on here - loving yours kerri_dfw!I was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0
