Wow! There has been a lot of debt busting this morning while I've been asleep... I'm out for a works night out so decided to force myself to have a lie in so that I won't be yawning and wanting my bed by 11pm. Who am I kidding! I'm only 30 but they just want to go out and get completely wrecked tonight and think I'm just boring cos I don't want to drink as much as them but to be honest, I did all this at uni and got it right out of my system years ago. I've had enough of the stupid actions when I'm drunk (especially with work colleagues and boss - recipe for disaster in my eyes), world spinning, the hangover, the being sick and the losing of 2 days cos my hangovers are so bad. All in all I much prefer to have 2-3 drinks and be merry and have a good dance but then leave it at that. They really can't understand why I don't want to get absolutely sloshed as in their eyes, this is what it means to have a great night out. I think it's true of what a lot of people think and it definitely used to be the way I think but I've changed. Anyway, it's just me. If people have a fantastic night out, however much they drink, then I'm really glad as everyone should be happy xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Still waiting for cc bills to arrive. It's very tedious. All bills are now paid for the month, but until I know how much interest I've paid, I can't update totals. :whistle:Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0

You all making me feel so bad for not having paid anything off on my cc yet. Think it will definitely have to wait until January. I am using the card to pay for Christmas presents etc but am determined to pay these all off by end of Dec and start chipping away at the original total next year. I am trying to earn a bit of extra cash though through music magpie ans surveys - this money is currently going towards Christmas but in Jan it's all on the debt!!!Santander [STRIKE]£3024.34[/STRIKE] £2933.57 -0% until Apr 2012, Halifax [STRIKE]£284.77[/STRIKE]£1641.37, Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7224[/STRIKE] £7061.46 -0% until Jan 2014:j, OD [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] TOTAL £11636.40

Morning all!
I wrote a letter to HRMC about the fact I wear a uniform to work and have done for years. I saw it on this fantastic website and got a letter template for it so have claimed and they have written to me with a cheque for £18.83 for tax yr 2007-2008 and asking for more info about job for other yearsWell worthwhile to anybody who does wear a uniform and this website plus HMRC website explains loads.

:T First of all well done for paying so much of your debt! I was wondering how long you had to wait to get the claim through? Im a nurse and i remember someone telling me a few years ago to do it but i forgot about it! And also do they ask for tax codes? thanks in advance!0 -
Ok, I haven't had a chance to read back, so apologies if this has already been done.
Between us, on this thread we have over £1,000,000 worth of debt. What an achievement it will be if this thread inspires one million pounds worth of debt clearance in one year. Come on people, do your bit!0 -

It's incredible isn't it! :jNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Sold my utterly pointless, impulse-bought, iPad for £400. I've put it on the CC, so I've now broken the £1,000 mark and have paid 8.59% off in under a month!
The big heart-breaker is going to be selling the camera, but I don't use it enough to justify keeping. I'll get another when I can buy one with my own money! <
I've changed :rotfl:
The big target for me in the first few months is gaining a sensible debt figure which can be realistically paid off through my wages alone in 2012. Then I can stop selling stuff that I'd rather keep! #
Determined more than ever...0
