  • Ohhhhh and AGAIN I am breaking my own rules and coming on here AFTER 10.30. I tend to be a hermit on friday nights and not go out cuz I have worked in bars for 7years and only stopped a few weeks ago, so really enjoying years of missed out on nights in  Well welcome to everyone new and WELL DONE to everyone who has made some more payments. DDs have come out today so that's another....errrr *does some maths in head* £23 that can come off my total cuz I have to take off the interest. Boooo. I've estimated that but I have estimated it probably a bit under what it should be. Better that than get nasty suprises at the end :rotfl:

Well, I have finally made some payments! wooo! £33.29 to start with, but Asda have just emailed me to say that they'll be making a bank transfer to me for my old phone so that's another £30.50 I can pay off, got £20 from the money jar for November (collecting spare change and any money the other half leaves in his clothes when he puts them in the wash...I figure it's fair game till he learns to use the washing machine:rotfl:) and have £20 something on paypal from ebay sales.

The best thing to happen today though, was work announced another incentive scheme. The last one I earnt an extra £250 but from a couple of 12 hour days it is possible to get an extra £1,000 in a week :T I'm hoping to get an extra £100 at least this weekend...just a shame I wouldn't get paid it until the end of January!

    £33.29/16276.37 0.20%

Morning all, hello new people *waves*

Im moving house today so might have some more money to pay off debts with tomorrow when I work out what I've got left after paying man in van. Feeling a bit strange about the move thoughbas been asked by my friend to pay my deposit money to her bf that's moving out, not to the landlady. Going to tell her it goes to the landlady or no one at all though it's a business transaction and needs to go in a deposit scheme. Hope she understand this or I'm going to be homeless :-/

Just sent my paperwork to remortgage (fixed rate coming to a end). The good news is that the new rate is a few basis points lower, fixed for 3 more years so our payments are £10 or so a month less. That's £10 a month extra to that credit card:beer:
Had to pay £125 fee though :( Will have to come out of the wedding fund, which is even worse but I didn't want to add it to the mortgage and pay years of interest on it! That doesn't ruin my NSD, does it?!? :rotfl:

Of to clean the kitchen *boring*:A

Have a fun day everyone and a special welcome to the newbies

    Morning all!

Fantastic results from everybody, well done! Is so motivating and I'm constantly thinking of how I can pay off more/spend less which can only be a good thing!

I emailed Eon a couple of weeks ago to ask them for an energy meter that shows how much electricity we are using at a time and told them how my friends had been given one for free and I would really appreciate if I could get one as I thought they were a great idea and would really help me. They sent an email saying no problem and I got one sent in post yesterday. Is brilliant! Really gonna make a difference to us remembering to switch things off! Very impressed as they are about £30 to buy but a wee email got me one for free :j

We got paid yesterday so been looking at money and are going to take off what we spend on xmas and nights out and hopefully money left to pay off more on credit card. Paid in a tax refund cheque today so that will come off total. I wrote a letter to HRMC about the fact I wear a uniform to work and have done for years. I saw it on this fantastic website and got a letter template for it so have claimed and they have written to me with a cheque for £18.83 for tax yr 2007-2008 and asking for more info about job for other years :D Well worthwhile to anybody who does wear a uniform and this website plus HMRC website explains loads.

Also got £30 from quidco today so paid that into credit card too! Plus made a payment to credit card. Have paid off £84.44 today! Has been an excellent money paying day so far :D

    So my total is now.......

    £911.79/£9793.81

Am going into work for shopping today as we have a massive 20% colleague discount this weekend so will get food shopping and some Christmas presents too. Have a night out tonight with other managers from my work so will try and keep spends low. Unfortunetely, my fiance has his work night out tonight and may not be as wise :rotfl: Think I'll only let him out with a certain amount of cash and no bank card!

Hope you all have a lovely day and a fabulous weekend

Hi all! Well done on all those payments!! Makes mine feel minuscule but every little helps...

€120/€12051.15=1% so the new balance is€11,931.15.

This process has made me realize finally how much interest I'm paying on my credit cards!!

    Onwards & upwards!!

Every payment you make is fantastic regardless of the amount irishnini, if they are payments that you've made extra to your normal dd's then they're even better as it's these payments that you are making to bust your debt and will ensure the perfect Christmas next year when you have no debt!!!! :T
