I've just worked out my new budget and it is very tight (fingers crossed nothing major goes wrong in 2012-I have a small emergency fund preferring to throw it all at this debt) have worked out my debt free date (paying off £15K) to be Jan 13, so I need to find an extra £500 in the next 12 months to be free by Xmas 12, see some extra OT and ebaying needs to be done.Pay all debts by Xmas 12 # 072 £1201.79/£15,105.68:eek:

I use a credit union that deducts from my wage, I only have £20 a month go in and then when there is a nice sum I withdraw for what I need, only just started but will make Xmas alot easier, plus as it goes out my wage each month I don't think about it,March GC £27.86/£3500 -
I think credit unions differ quite a lot so it will depend if you like the one where you live. I did look into my local one as I would have liked to support them, but was a bit disappointed to find them advertising 'low' interest rates of 28% APR  - I would complain about a storecard provider doing that! Plus they only mention access via the post office - not going to work for a 9-5er
Although I've just remembered I might be able to use a couple of other unions that are based around profession rather than location... *off to google*
