  • I've decided to go in later tomorrow and get £30 - I'm blooming knackered after today and am sooooo looking forward to having a lie-in!! I won't get much of a weekend round the other shifts I'm doing, so I don't feel bad slacking off tomorrow morning! :D Will use that time to watch the penny-pincher programme from tonight though!!

Lulalolly - I had an infection under my wisdom tooth a few years ago and it popped up just before xmas - trying to get an appointment at the dentists the day before xmas and then being on evil antibiotics over xmas meaning I couldn't drink at all was NOT good :( Full sympathies to you hun, the only good thing about it was it cleared up pretty quick and hasn't come back!! *touch wood*

  • I can't wait to post my first payments...it's felt like forever!!!!!

Ruby I think you are doing the right thing, there's no point making yourself ill.

CW2 congratulations on your payment, I've got to wait until the 8th!

LULALOLLY- when I had my wisdom teeth out they became infected and I took hundreds of pain killers but what helped the most was a warm salt and water mouth wash.

ANTONIA1 - I have used Tesco vouchers towards a watch for my 21 yr old son, he knows his budget is £200 so this has enabled him to have the cash he wanted for his holiday and also to have some wrap ups and a lovely £135 watch, we work hard and spend our money on groceries we should spend our vouchers knowing that we are buying our family a beautiful, well thought about gift! The guy you work with sounds like a prat and I wonder if he even knows that his wife swapped vouchers for his present :rotfl:

DEBTFREEJU - that's wonderful news, just stay focussed and you'll clear it in no time.

I have a confession :o I have a big night out on Saturday and have borrowed a beautiful dress BUT couldn't resist the most beautiful pair of shoes reduced from £85 to £20 :T I rarely buy shoes and have told dh that they can be my Christmas present (this is the amount we've set ourselves)......I did borrow the dress though :o

Amazing amount paid off so far - congratulations everyone xx

Thank you sharronej! I think you can justify a £20 pair of shoes for a big night out, especially when you have borrowed the dress! xx

ARG! Why are some people so annoying! I was just saying how excited I was to get my mum and step-dad Christmas presents from Tesco vouchers and the two guys who sit next to me said that was really stingy! I think its awesome cos I've got them a present they'd like and they wouldn't want me to spend more than I had to.

Well if they thought that was stingy, someone better call me the 3 ghosts of Christmas   ive done christmas for 12 people (this includes both my kids and DH!) and so far have spent £88  nearly everything was won or bought with vouchers that I won or got given free (eg tesco, boots advantage etc) ive only got my sister left who wants a voucher and as ive won £50 worth im waiting to see if they come in handy £10 denominations so I dont have to buy one :rotfl:

Move over everyone, Mrs Scrooge is here . . . now wheres Marley with my dire warning :rotfl:
