ARG! Why are some people so annoying! I was just saying how excited I was to get my mum and step-dad Christmas presents from Tesco vouchers and the two guys who sit next to me said that was really stingy! I think its awesome cos I've got them a present they'd like and they wouldn't want me to spend more than I had to.
Think of it this way, had your colleagues done the same then they would have more beer money  I think it's an awesome way to buy your presents. Or think in the mind that you spent the vouchers on your shopping and the cash on the presents. It's just a different way of shifting the numbers around :) Well done you, very MSE :j

  • Yay, I've just re-done my excel sheet for paying off my debt and it looks like I could be debt free by 01/10/2012! Allowing for a few minor slip-ups that means I should (hopefully) be able to achieve my target of paying all debt off by Christmas 2012!

That is going to feel AMAZING - I've been in debt in one form or another for 7 years so far!
  • Hi all how goes it?
I'm sorry I haven't been on in what feels like ages but my daughter has been really poorly, then I got an infection in my wisdom tooth (I've given birth twice but never been in so much pain as this) and I'm now on really strong antibiotics that make me feel drunk and muddy headed :-(.Which doesn't help when I'm a stay at home mum of two babies!
To top it all off just had the row of all rows with my other half and am seriously sick of it, I don't feel I can take any more.
But that's enough whingeing from me, I'm gunna crawl under a rock and lick my wounds. I'll be back when I'm feeling a bit more positive!haven't even checked my bank balance let alone paid anything off :-(.
Sorry for the moan, keep up the hard work xx

Hi All - not had chance to read back (been away most of this week) but can see from the #2nd post just how well everyone's getting on - what fantastic results so early into the challenge and at such an expensive time of year .....massive well done to you all

Well my Capital One statement was waiting for me when I got back, unfortunately £55 of my £200 payment was lost to interest charges but never the less my new total is £803/£14,128 :j:xmastree::j

I really don't get that attitude. Whyever would it matter how you paid for something? What's important is that you thought about what they'd like and made your best effort to get it for them in your own circumstances! If it means you can spend more on them than otherwise, surely that's a good thing!

If you'd done the opposite and paid three times as much for something, do you think they'd see it as three times as good? :rotfl:
